1968 Dodge Dart Hemi Re-Creation finished in superior stunning gloss Black over period correct Gold hue finish. a massive 431CI Hemi V8 that features a 68 X block Hemi with stock Hemi crank/rods. custom 12. 5 to 1 compression pistons. mildly ported Mopar aluminum heads with Isky tool room valve springs. Comp Cam roller lifters. custom roller cam by Straightline Performance. Indy Tunnel Ram intake and 750 Dominator carbs with progressive linkage. The motor made an impressive over 750HP on the Dyno at Impastato Racing. All this HEMI power is sent to the pavement pounding 727 Torqueflite transmission. turbo action manual valve body with 509J torque converter. Dana 60 rear end with Stud Gurtle LPW cover. 4. 10 positraction. Strange axles. A guarantee start up via the MSD ignition/blaster coil and kept in correct running temperature via a custom aluminum radiator. The intoxicating HP sound is echoed out through the Custom Hooker headers with 4" exhaust and Borla stainless mufflers. A straight line guarantee down the track is a given with its professional mini tubbed and super stock springs/Carrera shocks. Stopping as fast as it takes off via its heart stopping front disc brakes and 10 inch rear drums all connected with stainless steel brake lines. A immediate off the line acceleration is accomplished via the Biodo line lock with fuel feed correctly by the Barry Grant fuel system with braided lines and Jaz fuel cell. The MASSIVE gripper rear tires are 30x13. 5 Mickey Thompson ET street slick rear tires with ET Runner tires up front all wrapped around period correct custom powder coated wheels with polished stainless steel dog dish hubcaps. Safety is at the top of the list with its 8 point Chromoly roll cage. Camlock 5pth harnesses seat belts. Superstock seats with correct aluminum seat brackets and LeCarra steering wheel. Top it all off with the top of the line Autometer tachometer with shift light. and Optima red top battery.
There were ONLY 80 of these ICONIC machines ever produced. With a REAL one. if you can locate it. running into the $300K range. it made sense to spend close to $150. 00. 00 to re-create this top condition example. After all the hours and hours of labor and the top of the line equipment used to make this a one of one example that would be fantastic in anyone's collection. However. the cream on the top of this fantastic piece of pie is the fact that it is FULLY street legal. It is currently titled and was last registered in the State of California. What better toy to purchase then an under 10 second drag machine that you can drive to the track. win all day long AND drive home again stopping at the local Drive in for a burger and fries. With less then 250 miles on this exceptional build and being offered for the first time to the public it is just a vehicle that cannot be duplicated for this price at all. period.
