1965 Mk1 Cortina Lotus Evocation

Ford and lotus produced the lotus cortina between 1963-1970 which evolved from the charismatic mk1. famously winning touring car championships. to the. arguably. more robust and refined mk2 marking its success in rallying.

Although the lotus mk1s were only produced as a 2-door sports saloon the lotus cortina mk2 was produced as a fast 4-door sports saloon for the police.

AVG 45D is the best of breed lotus cortina combining the mk1 handling charateritics from the lotus anti roll bar. track control arms. straight steering arms and original wide steel wheels with the tougher original mk2 lotus cortina twin cam power house and running gear.

Engine is balanced. blueprinted and benefiting from high-lift camshafts. the reworked 'twin cam' engine is thought to be developing circa 125bhp.

It was and still is the intention to replicate the stance. appeal. harisma and performance of the original lotus cortina mk1s and mk2s combined.   The best lotus parts produced across the variants have been sourced and painstakingly prepared for this car with the aim of producing the best of breed lotus cortina which i hope evokes your enthusiasm for this margue

The last 12 months have seen over 3. 00 pounds spent just on new/reconditioned parts alone not including all the labour costs involved.

This is what ive paid in the last 12 months and what you would have to pay on another car.

So this is a fine example of a no expense spared effort to bring a Lotus Cortina alive from a 4door super.

I treat all my cars like a study so im absolutely obsessed with documenting everything from the regularity of changing the Valvoline VR1 Racing Mineral 20W50 Engine Oil to the exact shim sizes changed during valve clearance setup.   I can even show documentation to show what gloves I wear while working on the car.

The car comes with a massive folder of receipts and I dread to think how much this adds upto (i document everything).

The car is tax free and has recently passed its MOT.
