BMW M635 CSI (1987)

An excellent example of an M635 CSI in Diamond Schwarz Metallic with shadow-line and pearl beige interior showing 119. 00 miles.  This car comes from my own collection - very reluctantly I'm being forced to sell due to losing my personal garage space.
The car comes with a full service history with the timing chain and components replaced at 111. 00 miles – an essential and costly piece of maintenance on these M88 engines.  Other important works undertaken in the last 5. 00 miles include a new  idler valve. radiator. coolant/fuel/vacuum/brake hoses. clutch slave cylinder. all differential seals. prop-shaft coupling. new suspension components and the exhaust silencer and resonator.   HISTORYThe M635 was first registered in January 1987. it then had the important running-in inspection done at 1200 miles. The car has then had a total of 22 inspections and services over the years. the last being an Inspection 1 carried out last month. The original owners manuals and handbooks are still present.

EXTERIORFinished in Diamond Black this 6 series is in great condition; it has to be closely examined to find any kind of blemish. The black trim does not suffer from any fading and the rear spoiler is free from the usual cracks and sun damage. The front and rear splitters have been resprayed at some point and the paint is not perfect with some minor blisters evident although. again this is only noticeable upon close inspection. The underside of the car is in excellent condition with no evidence of corrosion.  
INTERIORThis car comes with pearl beige interior which is excellent condition throughout with only some minor cracking to the leather seats which would be fair to say is proportionate with the mileage of the car.  This M also comes with the rare option of rear passenger headrests.  There is no wear to the carpets or damage to any of the plastic trim. In the boot there is a spare alloy wheel with a TRX tyre and a tool kit which remains complete.  The Motorsport Edition specification includes fully electric seats. sunroof. mirrors. air conditioning (which is blowing ice cold). and a rear-window sunblind to name but a few items.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSONThe M1 derived engine is a joy. it revs and pulls as it should close to 7. 00rpm which never ceases to raise a smile.  The engine bay is very clean and you can tell instantly it has been well maintained throughout its lifetime. all the mechanics are in fine order and as mentioned earlier the all important timing chain was replaced only 8. 00 miles ago. The manual gearbox operates with great precision and offers satisfying and quick gear changes when on full throttle.  
SUSPENSION. WHEEL. TYRES & BRAKESRecent maintenance to suspension components includes new Bilstein shock absorbers all round.  top mounts. control arms and all bushings.  The standard TRX wheels are included in the sale but it currently sits on 16” BMW BBS wheels with new tyres. The brakes and fluid have been replaced recently and work as they should pulling the car up in a straight line.
EQUIPMENTShadow Line Exterior Trim. Two Spare Keys.  Electric windows. Electric mirrors. Electric sunroof. Air conditioning. Trip computer. Heated rear screen. Sun Blind. Rear Seat Head Restraints.  The period Pioneer stereo has been complemented with new speakers and an amplifier plus CD changer discreetly stored in the boot.
