1978 AC COBRA BY AK SPORTSCARS

This stunning looking car is high quality in every respect. It has been beautifully styled and the paintwork and chrome is excellent throughout. The exterior is enhanced with extra wide wheels with spinners. P700 headlights. front spoiler with side diffusers. front and rear chrome nudge bars. tinted windscreen. colour coded hard top with heated rear window and Cobra stainless steel exhaust shields. The engine bay is pristine and looks impressive with Edelbrok Chrome air filters. Edelbrok chrome vale covers. stainless steel header tank and uprated coolant hoses. The upholstery is beautifully finished and boasts heavy duty thick pile fitted carpets with red piping. Cobra logo embroidered carpet mats. leather dashboard. leather door cards Cobra stainless gear knob. Cobra leather steering wheel and removable side windows and full tonneau cover. The car has also been fitted with a Toad alarm system and CD multi-changer housed in the custom made storage area.

The Cobra comes with an extensive history with MOT's dating back to build and a comprehensive file of invoices for maintenance. We also have build records that includes an invoice for over £5000 for the new engine and gearbox. The engine is a 400ci Chevrolet V8 with Hypereutectic pistons and high volume oil pump. The cylinder heads had new steel valves. new valve springs. rocker arms and heads are port matched to the Edelbrok performer RPM duel plane manifold. The engine boasts ‘Copcams 270' hydraulic camshaft and hydraulic lifters. Holly 750 carburettor and the transmission is a 5 speed manual Getrag gearbox.

On the road this car is truly magnificent. The performance is exceptional with outstanding acceleration. The car is super quick and is quite simply phenomenal on the road in every respect. The car is loud. aggressive and unbelievable fun. It has to brake well. it handles superbly and is something very special. This Cobra is a true credit to its builders. it displays a real attention to detail and the engine bay alone illustrates the high standards of maintenance and upkeep that this vehicle deserves and has clearly had.
