EXTERIOR
The squat and purposeful dimensions of the 16v are highlighted beautifully by the iconic Sports Blue paintwork. There is certainly a degree of homologation to the design with the wide front arches. bonnet intake and turbine wheels; the car looks perfectly suited to the tarmac rally stage.

The bodywork has been prepared superbly and with a consistent glossy shine the car presents very well indeed. Aside from a pin dent and the expected dusting of stone chips on the bonnet the car shows a rich. deep lustre. The trims and rubbers are soft. supple and maintain good colour all around the car whilst the sunroof cassette remains watertight and fully operational.

INTERIOR
The blue sash ‘Jerez' cloth presents very cleanly with bolsters surviving well and offering plenty of support. The steering wheel. gearknob and switchgear also display the patina of a much younger model; clean. clear and with excellent texture and colour. The original radio sits neatly in its cubby hole. positioned centre dash with a closable cover and removable part fascia for security. The usual questionable Renault build quality of the 90s is not yet present here with the dash firmly put together with all switch gear solid with positive action and a satisfying clicks.

The rear seats appear never to have been used and the rear parcel shelf. prone to sagging. is in perfect condition.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The spritely 1800cc engine eagerly fires into life and settles to a confident idle before coming to life upon test; the car revs freely with short. quick throws through the gearbox and plenty of feel through the refurbished steering rack.

The oil and filter was replaced less than 1. 00 miles ago and the car has just had a cambelt replacement with ourselves. The rocker cover has also been freshly refurbished.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The Speedline Turbine wheels have just been re-finished and look superb wrapped in nearly new Toyo Proxes.

Brakes are easy to modulate and perform well in pulling up this 980kg hot hatch with no adverse pitch or pull.

HISTORY FILE
Delivered to a Mrs Wilson on the 7th of October 1993 the history file contains the original PDI certificate from the supplying dealer. Windsor Garage of Hull. as well as a fully stamped service book and all supplementary invoices from new.

The car has spent its entire life in the Yorkshire area and has made 10 visits to A H Ketley over an 11 year period. After careful storage the car has been lightly recommissioned with a rebuilt subframe. renewed sump. CV boots. anti roll bar links and wheel tracking / alignment. Further to this the car has received a new off side front wheel bearing. driveshaft gaiter and a fresh cambelt.

Incredibly the book pack features each and every piece of literature from new with brochures for both the Clio range and 16v. We have every MOT certificate. two keys and even new and unused Phillips security code stickers!
