EXTERIOR
This example is finished in Light Ivory and remains entirely corrosion-free. The paintwork is gleaming throughout. and presents with almost no imperfections to speak of. The car's wide stance and aerodynamic contours are beautifully accentuated by the glossy coachwork and plentiful polished chrome.

The SL is complete with a removable hardtop that can be stored away on its stand when not required. The dark brown soft-top folds up and down effortlessly and is in very good condition with no rips or marks. Around the car all lenses are free from any cracks or moisture.

INTERIOR
In the mid-eighties the SL's leather and wood-trimmed cabin was among the finest examples of automotive luxury available. This 560 is presented with full Brazil Brown leather upholstery. which is in great condition. The leather has never been re-coloured and shows few signs of wear.

The SL is equipped with a driver's-side airbag. air conditioning. cruise control. electric windows. and electric mirrors. The cabin remains in fantastic order throughout. with almost no signs of use to the switchgear. Furthermore the dash and centre console present without any marks or distortion.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The fuel-injected 5. 6-litre V8 produces 227hp at 5. 00 rpm and 287 foot-pounds of torque at 3. 00 rpm. The engine bay is in marvelous condition and retains a fresh appearance having been regularly maintained by Mercedes over recent years.

Power is directed to the rear wheels by a smooth four-speed automatic transmission. Undoubtedly the car performs faultlessly.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The SL sits on the original set of flat-faced alloys. all of which are in great condition with almost no imperfections to speak of. They are shod in a matching set of Continental tyres with plenty of tread remaining. The car is equipped with ABS and disc brakes at all four corners.

HISTORY FILE
The SL was first registered on 12th September 1987 and was originally supplied to a Mrs Glenda Sutton of Tulsa. Oklahoma. The vehicle remained in her possession until late 2009 having covered less than 15k miles. In 2010 it was exported to Norway where it benefitted from regular maintenance at Mercedes. Since arriving in the UK in November 2015 the car has been given a clean bill of health from renowned Mercedes specialist. John Haynes.

Present in the history file is the original Mercedes document holder. which is complete with all the dealer-supplied owner's manuals. The original stamped maintenance booklet is also present and correct. as are several invoices for recent works carried out by Mercedes during its time in Norway.
