Here's a true survivor! Purchased back in 1958 by its 2nd owner. this car originally came to Canada from France. where it was driven by a French medical student. When he was returning to France in 1958. the current owner purchased the car for his personal use. He drove it very little and it has mostly been in storage as part of a small collection of other classic and vintage cars. The car wears most of its original paint. The passenger door was dented many years ago and was repaired and repainted. and the forward-most top of the front fenders appears to have been repainted as well. The remainder of the original black paint is still on the car. and there are some areas where the primer is beginning to show through as a result of polishing and washing over the years. The charmingly cracked and worn original wine red leather interior is still intact. although it appears that the carpet was replaced at some point. The original top and side curtains are still usable. but the window plastic has yellowed over time. The trunk floor has had some rust repair panels added.  Recently. the car has been gone over mechanically and it runs and drives. The brake master cylinder has just been replaced. The "head" on the motor was replaced prior to 1958. likely by a Jaguar dealership. This was a common service performed by Jaguar because the original head design of the XK120 had coolant-flow and warping issues.

This car isn't perfect. but is a very good example of a 'survivor' car. A car is only 'original' once! This one is just that. There are MANY more photographs available. Please contact me via the "Ask Seller a question" feature for the link to view the photographs.

Located just West of Montreal Canada. and only about an hour's drive from Malone NY. this XK120 has been owned by a collector who is its 2nd owner. He has owned the car for almost 60 years. but has not used the car much for many of those years. Over the past two years. the car has been mechanically tuned and repaired as necessary so that it can move under its own power. I have started the car and driven it short distances. The brakes are a bit sticky. but they work well. as does the clutch. steering and gearbox. It would require new tires and a good multi-point inspection before being safe to drive long distances.

This car was previously listed as a 1954. However. car was produced in March of 1953. The registration in Ontario. Canada has the car listed as a 1953. and the serial number places the car between others produced in early 1953. according to the XK120 register.
