EQUIPMENT
Recaro sports seats. Sunroof. Electric windows. Electric mirrors. Cassette player. Sports steering wheel. Cigarette lighter. Ash tray. Split folding rear seats. Digital clock. Glove compartment.

EXTERIOR
Finished in the attractive Moonstone Blue metallic this Sierra RS presents to a very high standard. The crisp paint displays few blemishes while retaining a large degree of originality. What's more the bodywork remains entirely corrosion-free. as does the underside.

On close inspection you'll notice how all the lenses retain a clear and crack-free appearance. with the bumpers and body kit devoid of any major wear. There are one or two very minor imperfections but nothing to detract from the overall appearance of the car. plus the trim remains in good order throughout.

INTERIOR
Having covered less than 45k miles it comes as no surprise that the interior is in such good shape. The delicate cloth upholstery on the Recaro seats has stood the test of time and is free from any rips or marks; in fact there is very little wear to speak of at all.

The cabin is in lovely condition throughout. There is no damage or marking to the fascia or centre console. with no scuffs on the door cards either. Everything remains perfectly intact and free from modification. The carpets are also in nice order as is the rear luggage area.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Featuring a DOHC 16-valve cylinder head. a Garrett T03 turbocharger. Weber-Marelli engine management system. and forged pistons. the two-litre Cosworth engine produces over 100hp per litre. which was a huge feat in the late 1980s.

Given the age of the car the engine bay presents very well. The under-bonnet area remains un-modified. with the engine itself appearing tidy and the original date stamps still present on the wings. Unsurprisingly this Cosworth provides an exhilarating drive with its tight gearbox and abundance of power on tap.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The Sierra sits on the original set of 15-inch cross-spoke alloys. Displaying only expected age-related wear the wheels still present well. however a perfectionist may choose to refurb.

The alloys are shod in a matching set of Toyo Proxes directional tyres as fitted in March 2015; since then the car has seen little use. The brakes are also in fine condition with plenty of life left.

HISTORY FILE
The Sierra was first registered in Ragusa. Sicily. to a Rossanna Cassarino on 9th December 1986. The car was owned by Mrs Cassarino until February 2011 and has had just two further keepers since then. It remained in Italy until very recently when it was imported into the UK by 4 Star.

Present in the history file is the original Ford document wallet. which is complete with the Sierra owner's manual and RS Cosworth supplementary booklet. The dealer-supplied service book is also present. and features six stamps in total. The most recent service was carried out by Ford in March 2015 and included a timing belt change. as detailed on the accompanying invoice.
