I bought this car 2 years ago. as a totally original. nmolested example. n need of tidying & mechanical refurbishment. It had been owned by Mr Mullet from new since 1956. At the ripe old age 91 he decided to sell the vehicle which he had lovingly treasured and used initially for work in his butchery for 57 years. as he wanted to sell it before his wife had to !!.
Before I continue. 'm pleased to say that Mr Mullet is still going strong at the ripe old age of 93.
In 2013. sold the car to a classic vehicle enthusiast in Stourbridge. who has then lovingly set about a sympathetic restoration of the vehicle. aking nearly 2 years. As any classic car enthusiast will confirm. once you start. you never can stop a restoration. f you want it done properly.
£10. 00 of documented costs later. I've managed to aquire this litttle gem again and delighted to present the vehicle as it stands today. in a sympathetically restored condition. ithout loosing none of its character & history. He even had a duplicated magnetic sign made to mimic the original hand written signage the van once sported.
This is a lovely. very usuable classic van. She starts first time and now runs beautifully. aving had a full mechanical refurbishment. She comes with 3 folders full of history. nvoices and photos from the last 57 years.
I'm fairly sure you wont find another like this in the near future. It really belongs in a museum
