Chevrolet : Other 1/2 ton Panel Delivery

This is an excellent truck that shows well. handles great on the highway. easily capable of highway speeds. fun to drive.
Truck is originally from Lancaster County. Pennsylvania. imported to Canada in 1989. I am the third owner.

1955 Chevy “235” six. rebuilt in 1999. original low-mile. Canadian-built motor with hydraulic lifters.
Offenhauser dual-carb intake with Langdon water cooling. Langdon Carter/Weber 2bbl carbs installed summer of 2012. Fenton cast-iron headers. dual exhaust. “Wayne” polished aluminum valve cover & side covers. Langdon HEI distributor. Approximately 40. 00 Miles on motor since rebuild. Uses normal amount of oil for these vintage motors. 1000 to 1500 miles. no smoke.
GM 12 volt alternator. all electrics converted to 12 volt. Electric wipers.
3 speed transmission. column shift. nbsp; torque-tube drive shaft. original rear-end with 4:11 gears. Differential is tight. no leaks.

Powder coated WheelVintiques ‘Series 12' rims 16” by 7”. new 2012. with B. F. Goodrich Long Trail Radials. 235R65-16 front. 235R75-16 rear. new 2012. New kingpins 2014. Custom storage cover. Always winter stored.

Body completely professionally restored (frame-up) in 2000.
Body was media blasted and epoxy primered.
Painted 1953 Chevrolet - RM UNO Dark Juniper Green. with clear coat.

LED tail lights. Custom green interior lighting. plus stock dome lights front & rear.
Interior carpeted in rear. JVC sterero w/custom hide-away under dash. Recirculator heater w/ defrost.
New radiator 2013. new speedometer/odometer 2013. new dual master cylinder 2015.

This truck is a “runner” and loves to be driven. will handle highway speeds without a problem.
Drive this truck anywhere. Rides and handles great.
Gets 16-18 mpg when driven at backroad speeds (50-55mph). 12-14 mpg on highways at 65+mph. and will cruise all day at that rate.
Odometer reading is that of new speedometer. miles since rebuild as stated above.

There are a few minor issues. nothing serious and all easily fixed:
A few bubbles in the paint at the bottom front and rear edge of the passenger door. and the right rear cargo door.
Rear transmission seal where it joins the closed torque tube driveshaft leaks a small amount. but nothing serious.
Some small stone chips on the front end. i. e. grill. etc.
Gas gauge is not reliable. have new 12 volt gauge to go with truck.
The passenger seat bottom cushion is not original.

The truck is one hour from the Buffalo/Fort Erie border and arrangements to pick up on the U. S. side are possible.
