The 107 “SL” was produced between 1971 and 1989 - the longest run for any Mercedes model except for the “G” class. There were a variety of engines available over the years from 2. 8. 6 cylinder up to 5. 6. V8. In 1985 the 420 engine replaced the 380. it produced the same b. h. p as the earlier model but made substantially more torque and had better fuel consumption.

This car is a 1987 Mercedes SL 420 in Blue Black Metallic with Mushroom leather interior. It has covered a correct 99k miles from new which is backed up by a substantial history file and service book. The last owner bought this car in 2012. It was in good rather than excellent condition but he has since spent over £15k on improvements. As you would expect. the car is now well sorted and presents beautifully.

The SL 107 has seen big increases in value recently. This is one of the more desirable late model cars. with the best engine in perhaps the best colour scheme. It is fitted with various extras and upgrades including rear seats. leather trim and outside temperature gauge and headlamp wash wipe.
