This cars body is straight. no rust that I can find. When I had it Painted some 12 years ago the body was stripped to bare metal to be sure there was no rust or Bondo. It was then prepped and repainted in the original color. The Chrome is all present. and in a very good condition on the whole but yes. there is some pitting and the occasional ding present as can be seen on the drivers door handle. the underside. frame etc. is in very good condition from what I can tell. frame is clean. I purchased the car from the second owners I believe. who lived just out side of Vancouver. BC. and so no rust issues. The Lady I purchased it from told me that the car was registered with the International Ford Retractable Club Of America and they had gone down for many car shows. this was also my dream. but since her husbands passing she just couldn't be reminded of all the good times they had every time she looked at it The car still has the club sticker on the window and comes equip t with the original padded dash. the original old style seat belts in the front and the green tinted windshield which was an option referred to as the Safety Package. Since I have owned it has always been stored indoors and was only driven on summer sunshine days and has been in long term storage since 2003. The car is 55 years old and in very nice condition but it does have some issues. The fellow that was hired to prep the car for painting and re-assemble afterward decided to leave his wife. move himself and his girlfriend to Peru and took the cash and never finished the re-assemble. The door sills and such are I hope in the trunk but since the Roof was not adjusted properly I can't get at them until I find somebody who knows the fine art of adjusting the roof and trunk mechanism. He was also supposed to lay the car up for Long Term Storage and never did that. The motor was running beautifully when painted in 2003 but since starting it up this spring there is a miss from I'm guessing a sticky lifter and so the engine and transmission should be checked and cleaned and or overhauled. I retired last fall and it was my intention to drive my cars around but I fell and have hurt my back and so find it hard to bend down and crawl under the cars like I used to. Since retiring I can no longer afford the expensive shops to do the work for me. The car is far too nice for me to give it away to low bidders and so If I can't get a fair price for it. I will lay it up properly and put it away again. I do hope I can find a good home that this beauty deserves. I will be away over the July18th week end but will be checking my emails and then return around July 21. Any inquiries will be answered after that. My Aunt and Uncle are celebrating their 65th Wedding Anniversary and I can't miss that. The car is also listed locally and if sold I will end the auction sooner. Transportation. Shipping of the car will be at the New Purchasers expense. I will not release the car until funds have cleared my bank. I have described this vehicle as best as I can. but anyone interested should have an inspection done on the car. The condition of the floors appear solid but like I said I can not crawl underneath to be sure. and I welcome anyone who would like to see the car. I do not live more than about an hour and a half from the border crossing of Sweet Grass. Montana. but I know nothing about importing vehicles across the border other than it is quite common. please be sure to check for the appropriate paper documents with your area and at the border crossing for details. The car does have Power Steering. Upgraded Power Disc Brakes in the front for safety concerns. it has the optional. I am told. Kelsey Hayes Chrome Wire Wheels with K/O's. Stunning looking wheels. excellent wide whites but they too are getting old and should be checked. I am new at this selling on EBay but I have an excellent feedback record and wish to keep it so. Please no scammers as i will not respond to you. I have a Product to sell and if you can afford it please make sure before hand. I will not disclose the reserve price so please bid to own. Thank you and good-luck in your bidding. I Will require a $1000. dollar Non Refundable Deposit With In 48 hours of Auction End and I will be observing All of EBay's guidelines.
