SURVIVOR 1963 VALIANT AP5 REGALTidy and reliable driver. the Ape was on full NSW rego until September 2014. and was used as a daily driver until then. Currently on Club rego because of minimal usage. I have no doubt it will be able to registered again. as everything related to a Roadworthy is working well. The old girl has just been treated to new carpets and seat covers for the front. and the back seats have hardly been used. hence the excellent condition. There are retractable seat belts front and rear.
A reliable cruiser. she has undertaken many trips around NSW without a hiccup. The Slant and auto operate well. while the single barrell original carb keeps the fuel costs down to a respectable level. There are no untoward noises emanating from the driveline at all. and oil usage is minimal.
The body is all original. and in some places the paint is wearing a little thin. however she is quite respectable to look at. Being 55 years old. she's held her age a hell of a lot better than some you may see at an over 40's singles bar. Certainly with less bangs too. The rust is minimal. confined primarily to some spots of surface. Certainly nothing structual. as sills. plenums. pillars. floors are all rust free .
Tyres are relatively new. as are the whitewalls.
Exhaust is standard. pea shooter size. so makes for a pleasant highway ride. She tracks straight and true. and the drums still pull her up well.
Payment by cash only on pickup. or bank transfer. Simple. Happy to help with transport but I don't have time to organise quotes etc. Will make myself available for pickup. once the car is paid for.
