1963 MK 2 3000 BJ7 wind up windows and centre change gearbox

Genuine Colorado Red Car shipped to Florida straight from the production line in 1963. purchased by an airline stewardess in Florida who sold in 1976 to a guy in Illinois who ran the car for 18 months and parked it up in the garage where it lay for the next 35 plus years.

we purchased August 2014. Landed back in the UK november 2014. I have the USA title and customs documents to show the duty has been paid. The vehicle is NOVA registered.

We have overhauled the carburettors. fitted a new AH spares fuel pumps and rebuilt the clutch hydraulics. The vehicle starts with ease and runs very smoothly and can be driven around our grounds with the aid of the hand brake only.

The vehicle is very original and unbelievably solid with just localised rusting to outer sill area's and lower front corners of the rear wings. floor pans and main sill structures all look original and sound. even the door bottoms and frames are in super condition. The missing lights are in the boot.

If you are looking for a straight forward easier restoration. then i would strongly recommend you come and visit.
