History

Acquired by its last owner Mr Davis in August 1996 for the sum of £5. 00. 00 he then set about a no expense spared restoration to create a facsimile of a type 47 Golf leaf Europa. All The restoration was carried out over a 15 year period by using the very best Lotus specialists. costing in excess of £40. 00 the result is one of the very best Lotus Europa's available today.
The mileage on the car we believe is correct at 26. 88 miles (new Speedo fitted in Sept 2001) however we have no history prior to 1996 to fully substantiate this.

The bodywork is in fantastic order. having benefitted from a full high quality repaint.
The paintwork has been done to a very high standard indeed. and makes this car look as special as it is.

The Gold Leaf colour scheme is one of the best. and really sets this Europa apart.

An absolutely gorgeous car which really must be seen to be appreciated.


Interior & Trim

Within the thousands spent on this vehicle. are many interior trims and parts.
Whilst the Europa never had the best interior finish. this car does tick all the boxes.

Fantastic condition seats & carpets. a lovely looking dashboard with all instruments working as they should do.

The steering wheel is in great condition. along with the matching gear knob.

Unlike many early Lotus cars. this is nicely trimmed and looks beautiful.


Engine

The engine runs nicely. with twin 40 weber carburettors fitted.

As with most cars with carbs fitted. it does run much better once warm. and pulls just as it should do.
This car is a lot of fun to drive indeed.

Many invoice and receipts within the history file for works carried out on the engine.


Running Gear

This car drives very nicely. with all the brakes working nicely (new rear brake cylinders).
All the discs and pads have had little use. and show no real signs of wear.

No knocks or noises from the suspension. all is just as it should be.

The gearbox is nice and tight. selecting all gears nicely both on change up & down
