EQUIPMENT
Alpine stereo. Portland grey leather. Leven turned aluminium dash. Leven stainless steel kickplates. Electric windows. Leather Momo steering wheel. Air conditioning. Removable targa roof. Electric mirrors. Immobilizer system.

EXTERIOR
This Chimaera 500 is finished off in a traditional British Cooper green with a rebellious metal flake running through it giving a shimmering metallic finish. The paintwork is in excellent order which is no surprise considering the obvious care this car has been given throughout its life.

The facelifted faired-in headlights nestle into the shaped front wings perfectly and make way for the long sweeping bonnet which houses functional vents to ensure the V8 is kept cool. As with the front end. both flanks are free from stone chips and dents. running down to the later style separate rear lights. At the rear the prominent twin exhausts exit from underneath and either side of the car leaving no mistaking that this is anything other than a V8 burbling TVR.

The car wears its black mohair soft top well which is free from creases and marks with just slight signs of use on the lower edges. Along with this the rear screen is clear and free of cracks.

INTERIOR
Stepping inside the TVR you are greeted by the Leven stainless steel kickplates and immediately struck by the Leven turned aluminium dash and switches which tops of the distinctive Portland Grey leather and green carpet delightfully.

Sitting down into the car you feel cocooned by a combination of the low sports seats and a high transmission tunnel typical of the manufacture. Looking ahead all the dials are clear to see and everything falls to hand wonderfully. from the aluminium topped gear lever to the leather covered Momo wheel. All the leather and stitching is in excellent order with the only the slightest of wear on the driver's bolster and a hairline mark on the transmission tunnel.

The air conditioning blows ice cold and the Alpine head unit is complemented by speaker's front and back.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This is the top engine in the Chimaera range and there is no mistaking the Rover V8 gurgle when you fire it up. The engine dominates proceedings with a torque rich delivery making fast progress effortless. With its last service just over 2000 miles ago carried out by specialist Fernhurst TVR. the engine starts up on the button and settles into a steady idle.

The gearbox delivers a short precise shift action with all gears engaging smoothly.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The distinctive 7 spoke 16” alloys are finished in a brilliant silver complete will all TVR centre caps.

Tyres are matching Toyo's all round with good tread depth. The brakes pull the car to a stop sharply with the discs show no signs of pitting or scoring and there is a decent amount of material left on the pad.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new In June 2002 by Mole Valley Motor Group this stunning Chimaera has an extensive service history. certainly one of the best we've seen. Initially servicing was with the Gatwick main dealer and then for the last 7 years by TVR specialist Fernhurst motor Company all with detailed invoices showing a huge amount of work to ensure this TVR is fully sorted.

The original black leather handbook which contains the owner's manual and service booklet is present along with a spare key and fob.
