Porsche : 911

A great daily driver that looks. runs. and drives wonderfully.   This is a southern US car with no rust that I've seen anywhere and has spent the last five years in Canada.   Comes with two keys. two working fobs. nbsp;a folder of reciepts dating back many. many years. all manuals for car. radio. and transmission.   Has the factory AMFM CD HiFi upgrade which sounds spectacular.   Over the years I've added the following: Fister mufflers. which are slightly lighter but you buy them for the sound.   A custom 3-spoke steering wheel with paddles. purchased from FVD.   This custom wheel from Germany basically moves the Tiptronic S functions from the front steering wheel buttons of the factory wheel to paddles behind the wheel - see pics.   The floor shifting function still operates and I quite often switch between the wheel paddles and the floor and only use full auto when I have coffee in my hands.   I'll include the factory front wheel in the front trunk.   Perfect early 18" GT3 wheels. real 8 & 10". with very sticky Pilot Super Sports. 225 &  265mm tires.   Konei FSD shocks and Porsche factory M033 lowering spring set.   The M033 spring set was a Euro option for lowering the 993 at standard spring rates known as Touring.   The combination of the Koni FSD and M033 set up offers the most comfortable ride. after factory Touring. and is the least harsh available of the lowering options. and is the only setup with a Tiptronic transmission option code.   The end result is that the car is roughy 1. 25in lower than US ride hight. and when combined with 18" rims offers exceptional handling and ride comfort yeilding an extreamly agile and fast car.   Other Tiptronic S functions include several electronic programs that prevent incorrect shifts when in manual mode. and over-rev limiter protection.   The speedometer dial face has been replaced with a meteric kilometers face (Canada is metric) but I will include the original miles face in the glove box.   The speedometer digital speed readout is still miles and the obdometer remains miles as well.   This car is well sorted now and is fantastic for spirited driving.

From what I can tell the maintenance and servicing is all up to date and when I took delivery I had everything done that I wasnt sure of.   New fan belt. power sterring belt. dual distribultor belt. distributors. rotors. spark plugs. spark plug wires. tranmission service. etc.   Brakes and tires are excellent.   This car can be driven accross the continent.    

This is a very fun car to drive and does what you ask of it effortlessly.   Passengers often comment on how comfortable the seats are and are totally surprised when they find out the age of the vehicle.   From 10 feet this car looks absolutly new inside and out but will reveal light wear and blemishes on very close inspection. yet has fewer rock chips than my two year old truck.   I'm happy to work with buyers outside Canada to facilitate shipping. such as deliverying the car to a terminal or shipping center.   Feel free to run car fax or other to research the vehicle but the title is free and clear.

As for the 993's in general. I cant say enough about them.   They are fast. agile. and modern in the sense that they have remote door fobs. stop on a dime. nbsp;and can corner like few cars can. yet remains old or nostalgic with air cooling and vault like klinks when you close the doors.   You cant help but see the original 901 dna.   I've driven mine to work daily in the summers. my kids to soccer (they loved arriving in this). awesome for date nights. and coffee house drive throughs in full auto.   I'm only selling because my oldest gets his first car this summer and I'll begin the march of adding cars for the rest as the next few years pass.   I just dont have the room but in time "I'll be back"
