The sheer ornamental lines and features of this example are accentuated by the factory optional Gris Perle metallic paint (code AC073). In very presentable order. the paintwork boasts a clean bright shine and uniform finish. Paint rectification undertaken over the years has upheld the beautiful general appearance. and factory applied Tuff-Kote Dinol protection treatment has helped preserve the vehicle structurally. Close inspection will reveal numerous faint yet inoffensive age and use related markings. A very shallow undulation to the nearside front wing is worthy of mention and the rear wheel shrouds are lightly scratched to the edges. The stainless steel bumpers and moulded trim sections are superb and original features such as supplying dealer number plates and tax disc holder will please the enthusiast. An exemplary example of this iconic classic Citroen.

INTERIOR
Gaze around this extraordinarily capacious cabin space and you are instantly exposed to the calculated madness of Citroen wonderment at its best! Citroen's Gallic flair and pioneering approach is prominent with features such as fingertip reach. stalk-less controls surrounding the binnacle as well as the delightful ‘for the sake of difference' cylindrical gauges and econoscope. All said functions operate perfectly and the wonderfully ornate gauges report healthy readings. The Blue Jersey Cloth upholstery is beautifully clean and free from significant wear and the matching vinyl door cards are intact with some splits to the front. Innovative and supremely comfortable this Citroen is the ultimate quirky practical classic.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the 1995cc OHC unit. the engine produces 106bhp @ 5500rpm and 122lb ft of torque at 3250rpm. An impeccable and near obsessive maintenance record has ensured this example remains in perfect mechanical order with smooth and spirited performance. The five speed gearbox operates flawlessly having benefitted from a complete overall and clutch renewal in December 2013.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Five factory standard 14in steel rims remain fitted and feature the original Citroen full wheel coverings which are in very good order with only light scratches. Quality matching Semperit Hi-Life 185 R14 tyres have excellent tread depth. The spare wheel is shod in the original Michelin rubber and housed with a complete tool and jack assembly within the moulded foam holder. Hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension with VariPower steering system and power assist brakes give this car its unique and outstanding driving characteristics.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 25th May 1982 by Citroen Main Dealers Normans of Westminster. this example has only had one driver from new! Lopex Ltd were the first registered keeper to whom Mr N Hemsley directed and enjoyed the car from delivery. On his retirement in 1988 it was given to him and only on his passing in 2013 did his son. Mr S Hemsley. take ownership. The colossal history file for this cherished Citroen is nothing short of incredible. Two large folders are thick full of masses of invoices and specialist receipts for maintenance work amounting to quite literally tens of thousands of pounds. Amongst the hundreds of invoices are countless documents from the same independent specialist whose receipts date from 1983 to 2011! An invoice dated June 1997 from Triple ‘A' Citroen Surgeons documents a new engine fitting in addition to the gearbox overhaul and replacement clutch in December 2013. the latter costing £1. 83. 16. The original Citroen service booklet was fully stamped by 1990 and two further booklets have been completed since! All three are present and display no less than 38 stamped entries!

The original plastic wallet also contains the original handbooks. operating guides and dealership literature. An original sales brochure completes the epic history file for a vehicle that has simply wanted for nothing.
