You hear a lot about "Barn Finds" these days. but sometimes. a "Garage Find" is even better!Since we also have a Jaguar dealership in our group. we sometimes get called upon to look at an older model that has been resting for a while. It is exactly the case with this incredible automobile. as the widow of a local Jaguar enthusiast contacted us to "revive" the old car that had been sitting in the garage for a few years since her husband's passing. Once we got there. expecting nothing more than a rough older car. we were amazed to find this superbly original and exceptionally-well maintained example of the classic E-type. Seems the owner. an engineer. had bought the car in the 80's with low mileage. and maintained it fanatically over the 30+ years he owned it. Everything looks brand-new. as on a fresh restoration. but apart from a respray and maintenance items. it is all factory-original. bodywork. interior. glass. wire wheels. etc. One rebuilt carb later. it was purring like. well. a kitten! We could not resist adding it to our collection. and are now offering it for sale. Since it is a late-production 1967 model. it has the exposed headlights. but it still features the quaint "toggle" switches. instead of the "rocker" switches on the instrument panel of later-built cars.
