Original pioneer radio. Manual adjust wing mirrors. Cigarette lighter. Electric driver and passenger windows. Central locking. Manual choke.

EXTERIOR
This Renault 5 comes in the desirable Electric Blue metallic that remains gleaming in our studio after a thorough detailing session. There are no chips or scuffs anywhere on the car. the only signs of its age being a delamination of the drivers wing mirror which is in the process of being replaced. All of the plastic trim remains black and in good condition. The decals have just been refreshed and finish off this stunning example. The windscreen and windows remain clean and free from any major scratches. the rear screen still with its original ELF racing sticker; a nod to the F1 partnership of the time.

INTERIOR
The bucket seats to both front and rear are in excellent condition with no wear to the side bolsters in keeping with its minimal mileage. coloured in two tone black and grey cloth with red sports stitching adding to the ‘hot' hatch designation of this pocket rocket. The grey carpet is spotless throughout the car. with the dashboard and centre console unmarked with minimal wear to the textured steering wheel. gear knob and handbrake.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This phase 1 GT Turbo has only covered an astonishing 22k miles. The engine bay is clean and tidy retaining all of its fragile plastic covers. rubbers and pipe work much of which gets damaged or changed over time. Void of the usual aftermarket modifications the engine remains stock and performs as Renault intended. It has been given a thorough inspection and full service in house to ensure all the mechanical items are running correctly. The gearshift mechanism is incredibly tight and precise showing no sign of any wear making this iconic hatch feel and drive like the low mileage example it is.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The car sits on its original 13 inch six slot Renault alloys which are all completely unmarked. The original specification period Michelin MXV 195/55/13 tyres all have plenty of tread remaining. The brakes all work well pulling the car up smoothly in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
First registered on on the 22/05/1986 this rare phase 1 GT turbo has had just 3 owners. The original plastic owners pack is still present housing the operating manuals and supplementary GT turbo manuals. The history file comprises of a selection of MOT certificates and old Renault main dealer service receipts dating back to '87. 2 sets of keys and genuine Renault alarm fobs are included with the car.
