1966 was supposed to be the last year for the mid-year C2 Corvettes but unfavorable wind tunnel results of the new C3 pushed back the new car's launch date another year. New for 1966 was the big(ger) block 427 engine. which would go on to cement the Corvette's legacy in the coming years. 1966 proved to be another successful year for Chevrolet's flagship sports car and 27. 20 total cars were sold for the model year.

We are very excited to offer this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible! The car is finished in its data tag correct shade of Rally Red (one of 3. 66 in this color) with Red vinyl interior and black convertible top. The car is fitted with its original. numbers matching 427ci/390hp V8 and 4-speed manual transmission. Also included is air conditioning. power steering. power brakes. side pipes. teakwood steering wheel. AM/FM radio. seatbelts and more! The car rides on knock-off wheels with Cooper Trendsetter SE P205/75R15 steel belted radial white line tires.

This Corvette was frame-off restored two years ago and continues to show very well today after 119 miles. In addition to a numbers matching driveline. the car retains correct 38699-42 block casting and 3886948 Holley intake. dated June 2nd. 1966. All components work as they should. with cold air from a freshly serviced AC system and even a functional clock. All side glass remains LOF Safety Plate. The car is very drivable. with plenty of power around town but also proper gearing for extended cruising. The car shows minimal to no signs of wear and is ready to cruising or judged events alike!
