Up for sale is my almost completely restored 1968 Plymouth Barracuda base model car only dressed as a Formula S so NOT original 340 car. The restoration started with a very clean. straight and rust free car and chassis. The car came factory with the 318 ci engine. 904 auto trans and 7. 25 open reared. Equipped with column shift. manual drum brakes. manual steering and air conditioning. the air unit in car is al that's there would need pump. hoses and condenser to get that working again. AM radio. heater and manual windows with flip out front wing windows. Factory bucket seats. All the glass is great and in working order. Front windshield and rear window has new seals replaced when car was professionally repainted a few years ago. Car came to me wih out the original factory build sheet. Has clean clear Colorado State title. Car was always garaged with previous owner as well as with me. Everything works on the car like wipers 2 speeds. lights. blinkers. parking lights. headlights. Dash lights are dimmer then original with new replaced bulbs to reduce heat inside dash panel. The car has no under carriage rust or frame rust and is all in great shape. Can try and supply pics if interested of the under side.

Now for the restoration details. The car was completely stripped of all windows. trim and glass during the repaint. It has a replaced right front fender due to damage from a long ago accident. The car was painted lite gold mist paint. The brand new rally wheels are color matched to the car. The cars interior was stripped out and totally restored and or replaced with Classic Industries interior all in red leather with matching red carpet. the color is a darker red but not maroon. The pics of the car doesn't show but I have installed 2 chrome round exterior rearview mirrors on both doors. not original equipment but very nice and style correct. Will get pics loaded to photobucket asap.

Every aspect of the interior was covered in Dynamat sound proofing and Dynamat padding. floors. doors. trunk area. spare tire area. headliner area which can be seen in the pictures. Then matching carpet was custom fit throughout complete car front to rear. All interior trim was restored or replaced. All rubber door seals. stoppers. guides and latches were replaced or restored and operate perfectly. The complete dash and radio were removed and restored back to original condition and is beautiful. The previous owner did not hook the radio up or install any speakers or outside antenna and is still in that condition. The complete interior seats were restored with seat buns and custom covers. Bucket seats do not have head rests. Back seat flips down to make large cargo area and all latches were restored or replaced and work perfectly as well. New matching headliner installed. All pieces are from Classic Industries or Year One parts. New truck seal not yet installed and rear of hood to cowl seal not installed but have both new in bags. I have new tachometer. and triple gauge kit for car not installed but have all needed parts for installation.

Car has brand new small bolt pattern 15x7 rally wheels and new BF goodrich T/A radials sizes 205-65-15's. I have the large bolt pattern rally wheels color matched to paint for the car when the new 8. 75 rear end is installed. I have newly powder coated housing. newly rebuilt 3. 91 sure grip center section in 489 case. I have new after market heavy duty axles with stock 35 spline and new green non-adjustable bearings installed. I have everything needed to install the rear end from mopar performance. span >  from Mancini Racing  including all new hangers. leaf springs. brackets. shock mounts. new U bolts. 4 new shocks. disc brake kit for rear end with drilled vented rotors and all hardware to install it also have complete front disc brake swap kit for the car. small bolt pattern to be able to keep the wheels same. I have new brute force universal joints for the driveshaft when cut and rebalancing is done. I have new fuel tank and straps to install when rear end gets installed. Painted with rust preventing paint. I have all the required Lucas gear oils and sure grip additives. gaskets and everything needed to install gears.

Drive train. removed the tired 318 and replaced it with a totally rebuilt 1969 340 cubic inch engine. block was machined . 030 over and has 10-1 comp ratio and runs great on pump gas. The engine has steel crank. reconditioned rods with ARP bolts. Forged aluminum Sealed power pistons and file fit rings and 4 small valve reliefs in each piston for larger cams if desired which I have one available with the car if interested. All balanced and fitted with clevite 77 tri metal bearings for rods and mains. Also all clevite cam bearings installed after machining was completed. All new freeze plug kit installed too. Has a mopar performance prple shaft cam kit. . 284in duration with . 480in lift with a cloyes adjustable double roller steel timing chain set. cam was degreed and centerlined to check specs from factory and is dead on!

The heads are from Indy Cylinder heads in Chicago. They are totally rebuilt 1978 360 hipo heads. Resurfaced and assembled with new mopar perforance 2. 02 intake and 1. 60 exhaust stainless steel valves. keepers. retainers and guides with 5 angle valve job and matching mopar performance valve springs for the cam. They have new adjustable competition cams stamped steel roller rocker arms assembly and matching pushrods. New Edlebrock aluminum performer RPM airgap 340 intake. New polished 600 cfm vacuum secondary Holley carb with electric choke. Has new Hooker competition under chassis headers that fit like a glove! Even allows for large oil filter and steering clearances! Has milidon high flow aluminum water pump and new pulleys. Has aftermarket aluminum harmonic balancer. Has slightly higher volume oil pump from milidon for use with stock 5 quart oil pan with matching pickup tube and windage tray in pan. Has new Champion aluminum 3 core 22 inch wide radiator with new clutch fan system. Has new mopar performance electronic ignition kit. Has new MSD blaster II coil and Taylor high temp 10mm spark plug wires. Engine is dressed with mopar performance aluminum valve covers and breather.   I have new flowmaster 44's mufflers. Flowmaster resonators to keep the raspy noises from the mufflers. have crossover X-pipe and new Flowmaster chrome exhaust tips. all thats needed is installation and the small pipes needed to hook it all up. Also has a Summit racing mini high torque starter that helped with the headers installation and works perfectly without that 'mopar starter spinning" lol.

Transmission is the 904 type and was completely rebuilt with TCI shift kit. heavy duty bands and clutches for higher HP engines and valve body was modified for better flow and quicker shifting but not snappy hard that breaks things lol. Has 2500 rpm Hughes torque converter and it all works great.

The car runs great and has a ton of power. I have about 150 miles on the break in and would be more but no exhaust yet lol. The car runs and drives with the small rear end but wouldn't trust it with this power so that's where the 8. 75 comes in to play to complete the setup. The car is very nice and straight but isn't a show car or an original numbers matching car. its simply a modified 68 cuda to drive and have fun with. Its a great fun driver. Catches a lot of attention too. I actually flew to the Detroit area called Bloomfield to purchase this car and had a trucking company lined up to haul it home for me and they never showed so this car got driven back from Detroit to Western Colorado where I lived at the time without any troubles. It drives nice and interior sound isn't bad with all the dynamat and padding installed.

The car can be purchased as is with or without extra parts. rear end etc. Completely up to the buyer. I will be also advertising the car locally for sale so I reserve the rights to close the auction early if it sells locally. If bids are made and its close to my reserve I will contact the bidders before selling to local buyer and offer them same deal if interested.
