If you read the description before 10:45 on jan 7th you need to read this and see some corrections I put in after talking to my mechanic. sorry for any confusion. The rebuilt motor is a 1971 400 block letter code XH it has a 455 rotating assembly instaled into the 400 block. there are eagle connecting rods. TRW forged flat top pistons. otating assembley completely balanced. it has 4X heads . ooker competition plus headers. Holly 800 CFM carburetor and a evanbrock intake. they call it a stroker motor. Everything was put in brand new from the block up.

Who ever wins this is going to get the car of there dreams.  This is a 1969 GTO . It is a real GTO with a 242 VIN not something that's been cloned. It has a 455 Pontiac engine. 400 turbo transmission. automatic and a 10 bolt posi rear end with 373 gears. I bought the car 2 years ago in North Carolina. underneath the frame the flooring everything is solid as a rock . When I got it. it was black but the paint was in very bad shape the rear end axle is a little bent and the motor leaked from everywhere. I payed $14. 00 for it. In July this year it threw a rod so I ended up putting in another engine. it was professionally built all racing parts has eagle pistons. olling rocker arms . took this 650 carb off and now has a holly 800 CFM carburetor with a evenbrock intake to feed the beast that made a huge difference this car screams you can just put it in drive press down on the gas tears off from the line. churps when hitting second and third gear. this engine I would say is one of the better rebuilt 455 engine you ever find everything on the engine is brand new water pump. spark plug. ransmision starter . oil. the headers were sanded down and recoaded. the cars been rewired . ll new transmission lines. transmission cooler lines the car does have air conditioning but is not hooked up. has new break pads. drums roters and all the guts are brand new. the 400 turbo transmission was rebuilt I got the correct rear end for the car which is the 10 bolt posi with 373 gears. newly rebuilt . just got the car painted two months ago in carousel red I went with the judge colors all new pinstriping decals Chrome badging everything. Put a new front end on it with the hideaway headlights all redone brand new relined they work perfect which has been a problem with some of these cars in the past. new tires all around. rally ll rims. Interior has a new headliner seats are in good shape door panels are in very good shape everything's in working order every light on the car works perfectly inside and out. I do have and will add another picture I've got a new wood trim steering wheel brand new dash kit also some new chrome pieces for inside with the vents shift knob and the tubing for around the seats. ust hadent had time to do it. I was all ready to put the spoiler on. I just couldn't get it because it was on back order I definitly would put one on it when you get this car. it's only a couple hundred bucks. The color is carousel red you'll have no problem matching it up. again this is a no reserve auction this car can be seen anytime I live in west hartford ct or if you have any questions you can call me at 860 280 7543 my name is Mike if I can't answer your questions I'll ask my mechanic . he rebuilt engine has less then 500 miles on it. The odometer says it has around 30. 97 miles on the car but that could be 135. 00 true miles unknown I've seen a lot of GTO'S for sale on eBay and they are selling for a lot more money and are not in near as good of as shape as this car. For what you're getting I would say the car is 90 to 95 percent perfect. it really doesn't need anything just turn the key and drive. but if you want to replace something because it doesn't look perfect you. I mean it is a 45 year old car . you know how people call cars 10 footers cause they look good from 10 feet away. well i would call this a 1 footer. you really need to look hard to find any flaws. I wouldn't call it a show car but it's dam close. the engine. transmision and rear end are perfect. the paint lookes great. there are no scratches but there is a little buble up by pass back window. a 2 inch hair line crack by back window near roof. little anial stuf like that and very small flaws you wouldnt notice unless your stairing at it from a couple inches away. if you decided to put a little bit of money into it. not that you have to. but if you did you can easily make this a show car . can't go down the road without being stopped at a gas station. everybody honking at me. asking me questions. elling me how nice my car is. the car is in very very good shape you will not be disappointed. in the last two pictures these are the parts I have for the car that I have not put in yet you will get these with the car it's the dash kit for the wood trim its the actual full kit all the chrome knobs the two air vents with the chrome outside the shift knob wood the Grant Wood steering wheel I also have a new pipeliners chrome around the seats another chrome piece for the air vents and new trunk seals and a new lock for the glove compartment with a key. I hate selling it but my wife some medical issues and i must sacrafice the car . I will get another one but I know I wont come close to replacing it for what its going to sell for. I do have it for sale localy so if some offers the right money I would have to end this auction early . but i did not advertise it . ust word of mouth from some friends. so im sure it will sell on ebay. please only bid if you realy want to buy. on't want to have to relist again this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. good luck to all. Ohh and buy the way all pictures were taken on sunday january 4. so these are all up to date pictures. not pictures from 10 years ago. and it has always been in a heated garage. he only time the tires touched the snow was when i backed it up to take tha pictures on sunday.
