Seller's notes: Originally gold, it was flaking silver when I got it and it's now flakier metallic anthracite (very dark grey). respray in 2k base coat without clear for a matte finish, then left it under a tarp and went away for 5 years. It took its toll as the tarp rotted away and the car is now cooked with flaking paint, cracked interior and dried wood. When I parked it it was fully functioning but wouldn't fire now when I've tried (I'll try a few things and update this with the result)

It's time for the old girl to go. She's. got some wrinkles and not wearing her makeup too graciously these days. mainly though I've got no use for her and she's taking up space.
Enough of the parable. Originally gold. it was flaking silver when I got it and it's now flakier metallic anthracite (very dark grey). I used it as a daily for a few years. then parked it where it stared to fade. I did a respray in 2k base coat without clear for a matte finish. during this I found no significant rust beyond some minor rot around sill and window trims. The typical firewall/swaybar mount rust was present when I found the car and I repaired that years ago. Once it was back together I drove it around the block then left it under a tarp and went away for 5 years. This took its toll as the tarp rotted away and the car is now cooked with flaking paint. cracked interior and dried wood.
All interior parts are present but many components are sun damaged (cracked. faded or dried out) and I must have been in the process of fitting replacement electric window switches when I went away as that is disassembled right now.
When I parked it it was fully functioning but wouldn't fire now when I've tried (I'll try a few things and update this with the result). Its quite low mileage and the only parts I recall repairing were some suspension bushings and the rear half shafts.
I know the wrecking value is likely higher (drivetrain. 15inch W126 wheels. panels. removed trim) but I've not the time.
It was last registered in SA in 2007 and I have the paperwork. if I can get it started and you can get it registered it should be possible to drive it away. but a trailer is the best option. Being sold as is. I'll happily answer all questions. provide additional photos or arrange a viewing.
Please take her to a good home. would be a cheap way into a merc. tidy it up and cruise with a refined and rare pillar-less hardtop. or do what I always planned and drop a small block into it!
