Chevrolet : Corvette Convertible

This is not your run of the mill C-3. Frame on restoration making it one of the nicest drivers you are going to find. I have owned this car for about a year. most of which I spent finishing the restoration work. I am selling it because I am looking for another project on a C-2. I bought the car in Florida with a complete body restoration that rates a 10 on quality and paint appearance. The later 350 engine was professionally rebuilt and runs great. no leaks. no smoke. or oil consumption. I have driven the car over 4000 miles without any issues. The numbers matching Muncie 4 speed shifts smoothly with the original lock out corvette linkage. I installed a new clutch. pressure plate. release bearing. pilot bearing and resurfaced the flywheel. I also resealed the Muncie and it has no leaks. The posi rear end is original numbers matching and operates fine.  The chrome trim was replaced somewhere in the cars life and it still looks real good as do all the badges and other exterior trim. The interior is in very good condition. New Seat upholstery. door panels are slightly shrunk but look good. dash is original but also looks very nice. Everything inside the car and on the dash works except the clock. Original wood grain steering wheel. Carpet is good. one spot worn under the new floor mats. The rear storage compartments were removed and replaced with new frames and liners. the entire interior was removed and a sound barrier foil liner installed for sound suppression. Top. doors. windows. hood. top cover door. etc. were all realigned to fit and operate properly. All of the underside dash has been removed and refitted replacing all bulbs and many connections and sockets. Everything works! The components replaced on this car is almost endless. but to give an idea of money invested the list includes but is not limited to; new high end cloth top and rear window. chrome bezels and hold downs. rear gas cap cover. turn signal lens's. seat upholstery. door handles. window cranks. locks. storage compartments. battery. battery hold down. battery cables. speedo gear. tack cable. odometer cable. accelerator cable. hood release cable. center console heater controls and heater core. vent cables. period correct vintage radio. ignition switch. headlight switch. wiper switch. nbsp;vacuum override switches for headlights and wipers. new wiper motor. new air vents. hood release crossover cable. right and left rear view mirrors. new wheel trim rings. new Firestone Fire Hawk tires. new stainless exhaust from exhaust manifolds back with flow master mufflers. spare tire cover and lock. brakes were recently redone. all front end and steering parts are in good working order. all maintenance service is complete and the list goes on and on. It is safe to say this is an exceptional driver. and a perfect match for C-3 lovers who want a really nice vintage Vette that does not break the bank.
