This one of the most desirable and collectible Trans Am's built. the Y84 Special Edition.   This is NOT a replica. clone and or recreation.   This is the REAL deal!  General Motors produced a total of 117. 08 Trans Ams in 1979.   Only 10. 81 of those were the Special Edition model.  

This is a true original survivor TA.   You can restore them over and over. but they are only original ONCE!  This car has not been modified in anyway.   How many have you seen this nice and with this low of miles?  This is a TWO owner Special Edition with a documented history to prove it.

The original Starlight Black paint still shines very well for being 35 years old.   Its not perfect. but GM did not produce the perfect car back in 1979.

 

The interior of this car is like taking a time machine back to 1979. One look at Deluxe Hobnail seats and you can tell this Trans Am has led a pampered life.   The dash and Gold Special Edition dash bezel are in excellent condition as well.   The detailed trunk has the factory jack tools. inflatable spare tire. inflator canister and T-Top bags.

The engine bay looks very stock in appearance.   It has not been over restored or rattle can painted like most have been.  

The automatic transmission sends power to a 10 bolt rear end with performance oriented gears.   Up front. a factory power steering system combines with the performance suspension for the ride and handling.   The factory power brakes to provide the stopping performance.  

This Trans Am's undercarriage is extremely original. with clean floorpans.   No patch panels or rust issues are detected.

Have you seen the prices of these second generation Trans Am's lately?  They're skyrocketing in value and finally receiving the respect they deserve in the collector car circle!  These Special Edition's are now leading a charge up the value charts.

This Special Edition Trans Am has just had a full inspection of its mechanicals by an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician.   This inspection covers the safety of the car.   If any safety issues are found at the time of the inspection. they are fixed to factory original equipment standards.
