For your consideration is my 1977 Triumph Spitfire with restoration in progress. I have driven this vehicle in a limited fashion for the past 3 years and worked on the final resto during this period. This car is not a Mazda Miata or a BMW Z3. All these cars are for the individual that has reasonable tools. mechanical ability and patience. No matter what you are told by a seller. ALL these cars require this and a degree of TLC. This car was born in 1977 and automobile engineering was a different world then.
Now the positive. This is a legal road "GO CART"! There are very few cars that are as much fun to drive. You think you are traveling 90 mph when in fact you are doing 55 mph. The sound is awsome and there are few new cars that sound as good!
Like I said. this one has been a complete restoration. I have completely rebuilt the engine . 030 over high compression pistons. new stock camshaft. Head redone with three angle valve job. Aluminum flywheel. new clutch. pressure plate bearing. all suspension has been gone through. I bead blasted all parts and painted. the axle has a 3. 66 ration that I special purchased. 8 spoke minlite type wheels and new tires. Brakes all around with new master and wheel cylinders. stainless brake flex lines and cupro-nicle brake lines. New fuel tank sealed with sealer {the new fuels attack steel tanks! That. why your new cars have plastic tanks. I painted the car. It is a good 10 foot paint job that I have received many compliments on. The only rust is behind the riders door on the rear fender. I have a new fender or patch section that I will include. The dash is a european walnut burl that is georgeous.  All gages and lights work. All switches were replaced with new where needed.
This car has been a 3 year project. I have had every piece except the transmission apart. The car was taken down to bare metal. sealed and painted. It was originally French Blue.
The buyer is responsible for pick up and transport. I will load the car for you if necessary.
The pictures show some of the resto in progress.
Like all brittish cars it will mark your garage floor. Regardless of what you have been told. THEY ALL LEAK OIL a bit. If one ever stops leaking you can bet it needs oil.
A real fun seasonal car in super condition.  You can finish it or drive as is. Clear title in hand and yours after your $ clear pay pal.
Thanks for looking and good luck!

Note: There is no warranty expressed or implied with this vehicle. It is a 37 year old antique by today's automotive standards. No power steering. no anti lock brakes. no power assisted anything and no air bags. It is a basic automobile that requires a different approach to driving than you may be used to. Proper following distances and braking is a must. It was a suprise to me how far the modern automobile has come when I started driving one of these after over 30 years. That does not take away one bit the fun associated with driving it. You can drive it for hours and not be tired of it.

The seat cushions and covers are new as is the carpet and door panels. I went to great extents to make sure I was not let down in the middle of nowhere. It has never run hot on the hottest day. It always starts. I have a gear reduction starter that goes with it. The remainder of the interior trim that I have not installed and both glove box modules new and not installed. I have the rest of the rear bumper and the ugly rubber bumperetts. You will not find one that is farther along for the money.

I forgot to mention. this engine has the webber carb and manifold setup that does away with the original stromberg setup. Manual choke with electric fuel pump. Much more reliable! If the car goes for the "buy it now price" I will throw in a spare transmission. There is nothing wrong with the tranny that is in it. I just found a good spare and bought it.

Sorry about the confusion for those of you that bid on this car! I tried to get the Buy it now price in and eBay kept kicking it out. The BIN is $3500. Please bid with confidence.

OK. I have added three more pictures to show the fender skin and the area of the right rear fender that needs repaired. I also have a repair section that is the exact size of the missing area. Thank you for your interest and good luck!
This vehicle has been in my family for over 35 years. with 30 of being stored in a heated garage before I became the owner. I am not aware of it ever being wrecked or damaged in an accident. It drives straight and steers tight. It sticks like glue to the road.
