Dodge : Ram Van Prospector

This is an amazing rust free. Dodge Ram retro van in near mint condition.   The van runs extremely well. currently showing just 31. 200 miles.   The overall condition of van and engine would indicate these are original miles.   

The story I have on this incredible vehicle is that it was purchased new in Lakeland. Florida and fitted with the bells and whistles. as well as the custom interior. The original owner used it sparingly until 1989 when health issues forced him to store it in a garage.   The son. I was told. then maintained it. starting it. driving it now and then. until selling it on to a dealer.   

I purchased the van in July of this year from the dealer. after returning to the US from Saudi Arabia.   As it turns out my situation has changed and the van no longer suits my present needs.   It is a pleasure to drive. handles very well for a full size van. and has excellent braking capability.   I recently returned from a cross country round trip from Denver to Ohio and the van ran beautifully.   

The van shows extremely well for a 30 year old vehicle. (See photos)   It starts up immediately. runs smooth. with excellent oil pressure. no electrical charging problems. a strong MOPAR V8 engine. a smooth transmission. and no leaks.   Inside. the van is spacious. in excellent condition. with 80's retro style. and carpeting. upholstery throughout.   Windows on side and rear windows ‘pop' open for ventilation.   Other side windows may be opened and are equipped with screens for bug free camping.   Curtains for windows match front/rear upholstery. Up front are ‘wing windows' which provide excellent ventilation in the cabin.

 There are some small parking lot scratches.   Passenger door shows paint cracks on upper half.   Spotlight works intermittently.   Lower set of fog lamps need sorted out. External A/C-Heat unit fan turns on. but likely needs a recharge.

A/C. Cruise. Power windows – driver/ front passenger. Custom aluminum wheels. Spotlight. Fog lights. Aux high beam lights. AM/FM/Cass radio. 10 disc CD changer. Custom upholstered seats front/rear (Front Driver/Passenger ‘captains' seats; Passenger seat swivels) (Rear seat may be folded down for sleeping couch.   Comes with covered foam pad and under pad for comfortable sleeping). emovable front console. Back up warning signal. Top mounted TV antenna (one ‘wing' missing). Built in closet. 110 volt input plug allowing use of appliances in van – coffee maker/hot plate/TV/Radio/etc. – when plugged into external electrical power source. .
