1949 would be a very good year for Studebaker sales. Only 7. 35 of these Regal Deluxe Champion convertibles were produced.

The exterior has been refinished in classic Tulip Cream.

We have factory literature. brochures. advertisements. and the original owner's manual for this Champion.

The 245 cubic inch flathead 6 cylinder engine runs smooth and is paired with Studebaker's 3-speed manual transmission with optional overdrive. The overdrive works.

Further inspection of the engine compartment will confirm clean and detailed original sheet metal throughout the firewall. inner fenders. and core support.

The original identification plates are in place on the firewall and door jamb on this South Bend. Indiana produced Studebaker.

The interior showcases the factory-optioned red interior with restored vinyl throughout.

The dash displays beautiful original brightwork. controls. and functional gauges. The power convertible top works both up and down. It is also clean and detailed. recently replaced. A new convertible top boot & snap kit is included.

Further inspection of the exterior will reveal an overall solid original body throughout with minor paint touch-up.

The trunk is clean and in good condition. housing a custom fabricated fuel tank fitted flush as the original tank was.
