These 300 SL roadsters are very rare and much sought after. not many of them are imported into the US. It has a removable hardtop and the cloth convertible top stores in the trunk behind the drivers seating area.

 

The body style is the R107.

 

This particular car was purchased in Germany from the factory by a pilot and toured around Europe in 1987 then imported to the US. The vehicle was all federalized and has American specs.

 

In 2006 the car was sold to a longtime friend and which at that time it had 67. 00 miles. It was always garaged and well taken care of. always dealer serviced. and never driven in the wintertime.

 

The convertible cloth top shines as new. The plastic rears Windows are crisp and clear.

 

The car retains the original special ordered calypso green metallic exterior which looks like new as the day it was sold on the showroom floor. The laser straight panels are also perfect.

 

All the original glass is clear with no delamination or chips or imperfections.

 

All the exterior stainless trim. aluminum trim. and chrome bumpers are new.

 

The impact strips and body side moldings have no dents dings or imperfections.

The car has a set of period correct chrome Mercedes alloy wheels which were imported with the car in 1987 that are curb / rash free and with perfect tires.

 

The special thing about this car is the in-line six-cylinder motor; the best motor that Mercedes-Benz ever built which is virtually bulletproof. The motor runs perfect and purrs with incredible gas mileage with lots of power.

 

The automatic transmission shifts smoothly between all the gears and does not miss a beat. The car does not smoke or drip a drop of oil.

 

The car has extensive service records at MBI motors in Portland Oregon with recent service costing over $3000. Open the hood to see that the engine Bay is very tidy and clean with no oil leaks and looks brand new.

 

This car has never been smoked in.

 

Open the doors to see the beautiful dove gray interior with sport seats that looks like no one has ever sat in them. The pleats are perfect; the foam is crisp and firm. All the weather-stripping of the doorjamb. trunk. and exterior gaskets are supple with no cracks or imperfections. virtually perfect.

 

The car has beautiful Burl wood accents throughout the dashes and is crack free in the instrument cluster. All the gauges are in working order.

 

The car retains the original power Windows. power door locks. cruise control. AM/FM cassette. stereo system with a CD stacker in the trunk. Ice cold air conditioning. power steering. power brakes.

 

All the original door panels are also perfect with no water damage. The armrests are crack free.

 

The trunk has the original factory carpet. original spare tire and toolkit and looks brand-new.
