No reserve relist.  The car will sell to the high bidder.
Available here is this 56 dodge royal.  This is a true barn find car.  This dodge has been sitting in the barn since the early 80's ( last time it was driven in a parade). The car has been in the family since the early 60's. The mileage of 82949 is original.  It was a daily driver until the early 70's when it was retired to a parade here and there.  It is a solid car.  I photographed it as it sits on 11/2/14.
Here is what we know about the car as it sits.  It appears to be very solid. No real visual rust issues showing.  The tires are flat and the brakes are temporarily froze.  The battery was removed prior to storage.  The last time the car was driven it was running a little ruff I'm told because of the carborator.  The carb was removed and rebuilt and never reinstalled ( stored in a dry dust free setting).  We believe the car will run great once reinstalled as it always did I'm told.  I am the grandchild of the deceased owners.  I rode in this car in parades when I was in my pre teens in the 70's.  I recently moved out on the family farm and am not over mechanically inclined so we decided to offer it to someone else who wants to bring it back to its glory days.  It has a push button power flyte automatic tranny which was also working well at the time it was last parked.
I'm going to restore the barn for use for some livestock so we need it out.  I'm going to pull it out of the barn and rinse it off.  I'll fill the tires with air . if they hold it and make a reasonable attempt to free up the brakes.  Short of that you are buying the car as you see it.  The interior is in fairly decent shape.  A few mice holes in the head liner etc.
Please feel free to ask questions.  We have a clean . clear Minnesota title and the keys.
UPDATE. 11/05/14. We got the car pulled out of the barn.  The tires actually held air although they are weather checked.  We rinsed it off with hose and the car is pretty decent for a nearly 60 year old car.  What I can see is this. There are two small rock chips in the windshield.  The passenger side rear view mirror lens is cracked.  There is some light rusting in the rockers or where the paint was chipped.  It appears to be surface but I'm not a body man.  It looks like all the original trim . lens and emblems are all on the car other than a missing hub cap and we are not sure if the caps are factory original.  One of the tires does leak slowly around the rim but holds so several hours so loading and unloading should be simple.  The brakes freed up and the car rolls.  We wrenched the crank shaft by the fan and the motor turns freely.  As stated above we firmly believe the car will fire up and run once the carb is reinstalled and fresh gasoline is put in.
UPDATE 11/11/14. I have had some requests on verifying the engine type.  Our research tell us this a Hemi.  I added a few more photos with valve covers wiped off showing the " super red ram" displaying.  This car is not the Custom royal.  It's the Royal.  The super red was not standard in the Royal but was in the custom.  One of two things happened. most likely the latter.  The car was ordered with the Hemi or the more likely scenario. I'm told . is that in the time frame this car was built Chrysler was near bankrupt.  They were just closing on loan that would float them until the Iacocca / government bail out.  During this time frame they were installing whatever they had on hand to get cars out the door to sell.  Apparently this was the last year of this body style.  We have been told that 56's did not always match the orginal intended specs for the specific model do to the above reasons.  Also I'm told this is a 270 cc motor. Either way we are 99. 99% sure this is the motor that came in the car orginally.
UPDATE 11/11/14.  I have had two . n person.  views of the car.  One of the two said it is a 270 ci Hemi. The first guy did not say and I did not ask as I had no questions yet on the motor on Sunday.  Just To be clear.  I've had about same number of viewers say it is a 315 poly as those saying it is a 270 Hemi.  With reasonably certainty we can say it is is probably one of them.  That is our story and we're sticking to it.  LOL.  In other words we don't know for sure.  This is not a find and flip nor are we experts on the car.  It's just an old car that has been in the family for many many years.  What you see is what you will get.  I'm tapped out on the amount of photos ebay allows.  I can send other photos if you need thru your question message.  Please view all the photos in the auction first as many of the pic requests I'm getting are already posted. When bidding please keep in mind if the motor size is critical to you bid on assuming it is not the size which is more important to you.  If it turns out to be than you got a bonus.  Unless We can find something that definitively ID's the motor we are making no claim otherwise.

Thanks for viewing.
