What you are bidding on is a 1979 Lebaron Town and Country Woody Station Wagon. These are hard to come by and especially in the condition you see here. The car shows just barely over 24. 000 miles that I wholeheartedly believe to be original. The prior owner I acquired it from stated it had the original tires on it. but were replaced due to dry rot. He stated they had lots of tread left. All four tires are currently like new as far as tread wear. Of course he wasn't thinking and didn't keep the originals. He also stated it sat outside a bit. but the original paint has held up very well and would benefit for a more thorough wax and detail than I have time to give it. The under side as pictured has been undercoated sometime early in its life (Ziebart possibly?) and essentially has "saved" the undercarriage of this car. The only things I have done to it are the front brakes were rebuilt with new rubber lines which were cracked and I rebuilt the original calipers with new metal pistons and rubber seals. The old phenolic pistons were hanging up and dragging. I wanted to make sure the original parts stayed with this car which is why I rebuilt them instead of replaced.

This car has the 318 5. 2 liter engine with lean burn computer controlled ignition that works fine. Its a little cold blooded at first but once warm runs smooth and accelerates smoothly. New spark plugs wouldn't hurt. The power functions of the car work except the ac ( haven't looked into it) and the wipers don't move with the arms but I can hear the motor running. I assume the bushing that connects the linkage has disintegrated and fell off. fairly easy fix. The power locks on the drivers side will click but don't function quite properly. I have 2 extra solenoids that go with the car to hopefully repair that feature. The passenger side works as it should.

The body is in great shape for its age and paint has held up very well. There a 2 dings on top of the hood. There are a few paint flaws. The woodgrain trim has some raised spots on it where it is separating slightly from the body and some fading as pictured. There is one spot of rust through that is pictured.  The floors and trunk are all solid and were undercoated by an aftermarket source long ago. You can drive this car. and I have taken it to some cruise nights. but it sits a lot. I would trust it on a longer drive but just haven't had the chance.

My dream was to enter this very clean original car in the survivor tent at the MoPar Nats. but time and family obligations come first. I just need the garage space more than anything for other projects or I would keep it. It has the original spare and jack. To confirm the low miles I did receive some documentation from the prior owner. but cant find it right now. I will post pics or revise listing when I do find it. For now selling as is and you can base your logic from the condition of the car. From the pics you can tell it has the original exhaust system with original cat and OE factory part number stamped on the muffler as well. It has the visible overspray on the exhaust close to the heads where they paint the engine color from the factory that hadn't had a chance to burn all the way off yet. I do have some original fan belts that are factory OE belts. It has the original part number factory stamped upper radiator hose as pictured. the clamp has been replaced. The lower hose has been replaced. The interior is great. The front seat for some reason has some discoloration dark spots that were starting to show and have gotten a little worse as I have had it. even keeping the car inside. The rear seat is nearly mint. No wear on the carpets. very clean. This Auction is NO ReServe and will be sold to the highest bidder. If for some reason the buyer backs out it will not be relisted and will be put into storage. so be serious to own it. it wont come up again. I will help with shipping anyway I can. but the cost and arrangements are to be the responsibility of the buyer.    I prefer you have a 3rd party look inspect the vehicle if possible. Please contact me with any and all questions. I want to make sure the final bidder is as comfortable with this transaction as possible. I have impeccable feedback and strive to keep it that way.
