   1974 Toyota FJ40

   Custom Built Fuel Injected Show Truck

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Item Description How would you like to own the cleanest most drivable 1974 Toyota FJ40 on the planet?  This truck was built to drive!  It has had a complete Frame Off resortation. the body and frame were both stripped to bare metal!  All of the rust ( which was not much ) was replaced with new clean proper gauge sheet metal!  The bare metal was coated in epoxy primer and then painted with a brilliant gun metal grey metalic base coat clearcoat ( there are 4 coats of clear on this truck).   The inside and under side of the tub have beed coated in epoxy and fine texture linexed to match the body color.   The roof cap was stripped of all its gel coat and 3 more layers of fiberglass mat were applied. it was then painted a light silver metalic basecoat clearcoat to match the front headlight bezle.   All of the door and hardtop seals have been replaced.   All exterior non structual bolts have been replaced with stainless steel.   All the structual bolts have been replaced with grade 8 zink plated bolts.   The full profile roll cage was constructed out of 2" DOM . 120" wall tubing which is fully tied into the frame making this a very safe vehicle to drive on the roads.   The engine is a fuel injected GM 4. 3L Vortec V6 which purrs like a kitten and has all the torque and power you will ever need producing about 17 mpg.   With the Flowmaster exhasut this thing sounds very beefy.   The transmission is a rebuilt NV4500 5spd manual overdrive transmission making it a perfect freeway machine as well as a bullet proof off roader.   The rebuilt factory 4spd transfer case is mated to the NV4500 using an Advance Adapters adapter.   Both front and rear drivelines have been rebuilt and balanced eliminating any drivetrain vibrations.    This Truck also has a 4 wheel disk brake conversion yes front and rear brakes are all disk making this thing stop on a dime without pulling to the left or right!  The rearend has been torn down and completly rebuilt with new seals and bearings.   The front driveshaft has been torn down and had all the seals and bearing replaced as well as all the steering knuckle seals and bearings along with Warn Hubs.   An Aussie Locker was installed in the front and rear drive shafts making this the ultimate offroad machine.    The Saginaw Power Steering conversion makes turning the large 33" tires a breeze.   A smaller more modern Grant steering wheel has been installed as well as a colapsible steering shaft connecting the wheel to the Saginaw box.   Rancho 9000 fully adjustable shocks installed in the front and rear allow you to fully customize the ride of your choice from stiff and firm to soft and loose.   The Old Man Emu Springs Produce a very nice ride.   The tires are 33" BF Goodrich Mud Terrians with about 80% tred life left.   The front bumper is one of a kind. constructed of 2" DOM tubing housing the front parking lamps and turn signals as well as two 3/4 ton Shackles.   The bulky factory turn signals mounted to the front fenders have been deleted and the holes welded shut ( this was done before paint and in the bare metal stage).   Also the factory front running lights on the aprins have been deleted.   The front gille is like none other its a custom built CNC Lazer cut stainless steel grille which matches the mesh pattern on the newer Toyota's. The "TOYOTA" badge as well as the "FJ40" badge mounted to the front grille are also one of custom peices cut on the same CNC Laser jet.     The custom rocker panel rock sliders are also a one off CNC Laser cut peice constructed of 3"16" Plate.   There is a 15 gallon custom built aluminium fuel cell mounted underneath the vehicle in the rear unlike most this still fills out of the fatory fuel door ( the gas tank under the passanger seat was removed).   The rear bumper is another custom peice holding a full spare tire. High jack ( included in the sale) and rack which holds 3 jerry cans or a cooler.   The rear bumper swings away and is very sturdy with (2) 2. 00lb ball bearing hinges.   It  locks and latches which gives added security also housing the rear turn signals and parking lamps as well as (2) 3/4 ton shackles.   Moving to the inside of the vehicle you will notice the one off headliner with CNC'd out plates that say "Toyota FJ40".   All of the glass is new and was cut from actual tinted glass then sent out to be tempered meeting all of the modern saftey requirements.   The modern seats sit nicley on a custom built seat frame with is also home the a tuffy locking center console (  the drivers seat is also heated).   The rear factory jump seats were rebuilt and re upholstered to match the front seats.   There is a very nice Kenwood Bluetooth equiped radio mounted in the center console which powers (4) MB Quart 6. 5" speakers mounted in front kick panels.   The heater works nicely and all of the gauges work properly!  If you are looking for an AWESOME show quality great driving solid reliable FJ40 look no further!
