Up for sale is a 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W30. The 1972 model year is the one year that the VIN verifies what the auto is. This vehicle has the "X" in the VIN signifying the car came from the factory as a W30. It also has GM of Canada documentation stating as such. This car was originally radiant green. This car needs Restoration. I would like to keep it but need to sell to finance other projects. This car has rust in the usual area's as seen in photos. The Trunk floor is in fairly decent shape. The body floor has some rust holes but should not need a floor pan. The front and rear window frames appear to have no rust. The trunk lid. doors. and ram air hood also appear to be rust free. The frame is solid also. This car runs and drive's but the motor needs rebuilding. This car sports the 3:73 posi rear end and a 4 core radiator. It currently has 3:08 gears in the rear end but the 3:73 gears go with the car. The car unfortunately no longer has the original motor and transmission. The previous owner actually blew the transmission and the drive shaft drop down and cause some slight damage to the floor boards. There is also a small half inch crack in the side rail cause by the same drive shaft. i welcome all inquires about the car as i want to be as straight forward about the condition of the car as i can. I want to stress that this car is an excellent candidate for restoration. How many W30's are still out there un-restored. I have many extra parts available to the winning bidder.
