This is not your run of the mill C3. This is a painstakingly frame on restoration that looks. runs. and drives like a dream. Most numbers match. Muncie 4 speed and Posi Traction rear differential appear to original. the engine is a professionally rebuilt mid 1970 327 block with the original parts. intake and exhaust manifolds. distributor. etc re installed. No oil consumption. no smoke. no leaks. runs smooth. good compression. absolutely no issues. The Muncie 4 speed shifts smoothly with the original Corvette lock out linkage. All fluids have been changed with no signs of abnormal wear during service. The Body was professionally redone. The pics do not do it justice. This body shop knew its stuff. The paint is a 10!No cracks. stress marks. scratches. or marks anywhere. I do not have an accurate history on this car. The drive train and body were done by the owner in Texas. they ran out of money and sold it to a dealer in Sarasota Flda. where I purchased the car at about 80% ready to roll. Since then I have spent hundreds of hours making it the first class driver that it is. The car has a newer brake system with all components replaced. new firestone tires. new flow master exhaust ( sounds mean ) a new high end convertible cloth top and new rear window. The top frame is in excellent condition. New seat upholstery. I removed the entire interior including the dash and installed a sound barrier throughout. The rear storage compartments were rebuilt with new frames and liners. he underside of the dash got a good cleaning. all components removed and serviced as necessary with many wires bulbs and connections replaced. Everything on the dash works except the clock. I installed a new vintage period correct radio that has a clock. Speedo and tack are in good condition and work well. dash pads and trim are original and look pretty good. The door panels have shrunk a little and could be replaced. interior lights redone with new door jamb switches and sockets. the top. rear top door. doors. and hood were realigned for best gaps and function. still not perfect but good for a 46 year old car. When the car was serviced it got a good suspension lube and inspection. ball joints. tie rod ends etc are in good shape. As the pics will show the undercarriage and engine compartment have been nicely detailed with no signs of rust or corrosion. Here is a list of parts I have replaced and not previously mentioned. I have all of the receipts so here it goes; new clutch. pressure plate. release bearing. pilot bearing and resurfaced flywheel. New top hold downs. chrome bezels. door locks. window cranks. door pulls. nbsp;battery. battery cables. battery hold down. interior light sockets. door jamb switches. one turn signal. speedometer cable. tack cable. odometer cable. oil pressure switch. iper door vacuum sensor. wiper check valve. nbsp;vacuum override switches for headlights and wipers. many vacuum lines. wiper motor. wiper switch. removed heater box and replaced heater core. new air vent bezels. new heater controls in the console. period correct radio. new headlight switch. new ignition switch. new gas cap cover. new thermostat. new floor mats. new trim screws throughout. spare tire lock. seat belts. hood latch cables. crossover cable. all other cables removed and adjusted. right and left rear view mirrors. new chrome wheel rings. and the list goes on. Obviously this not a frame off restoration collector car. the nicest driver around? Absolutely. There are still a few minor things to do if I were to keep it. but I am looking for another project in the C2 category. If you love the C3 Shark Stingray you can"t go wrong. I would be happy to discuss details with serious buyers and accommodate inspections. The car is in Arizona the buyer is responsible for shipping if necessary. Certified bank check cleared prior to release of car or title. I would prefer to go to the bank with the buyer if possible. $1000 deposit to hold the car and stop the auction. Thanks for looking.
