Chevrolet : Corvette Black vinyl

  This is a great car for a true classic Corvette "Stingray" lover! The original shade of "Riverside Gold" looks perfect on the car. and gives it a wonderful period-correct look. The paint was new a couple years ago and looks excellent. There are a couple of small. hardly noticeable blemishes but overall the paint is beautiful. It has a great shine to it and attracts a lot of attention.     The interior is black vinyl. typical of a 60's era car. Very business-like and attractive. The interior is in great shape. details below.
  The good stuff: This Stingray is equipped with the famed L-46 350/ 350. (350 cubic inches. and 350 horsepower). It is the optional high-performance 350 available for 1969. It is an 11. 0/ 1 compression motor. so it has some great "snap" when you plant your right foot. This is the ORIGINAL numbers-matching engine. Not a replacement or a rebuilt engine. It runs great.
  This Corvette is equipped with the Muncie 4-speed transmission. the way a true performance car should be shifted. The throws are firm and accurate. easy to access. It is a blast rowing through the gears on this car. Tooling around town in this car. shifting the 4-speed is what the real "Corvette Experience" is all about. You will be "connected" to this car.
  The limited-slip rear axle is great for quick take-offs and "drag strip duty". It works perfectly and will leave two thick black "racing stripes" on the street on your command.
  The power steering makes light work of navigating this thing around corners. and the factory 4-wheel disc brakes work flawlessly. stops are straight and true.
  There isn't really much to say about how these cars were equipped. If you are a Corvette fan. you surely know all about the awesome features on this car.
  There is plenty of new stuff done recently to the car:BRAND NEW BLACK SEAT COVERS. They look and feel great. BRAND NEW BLACK CARPET. NEW "GOODYEAR GT-II' TIRES. less than 2. 00 miles on them. NEW BRAKE LINES AND HOSESNEW TRIM RINGSNEW TACH-DRIVE & HEI-CONVERSION DISTRIBUTOR. This brand-new distributor combines the best of both worlds: It keeps the original mechanical functionality of the cable-driven tachometer. yet gives the much-better performance of an advanced HEI electronic ignition. Better idle. better performance. better gas mileage. easier starts. Fantastic.  Completely dissasembled. hot-tanked and rebuilt carburetor. This is the original carburetor. not a replacement. THIS ORIGINAL CARBURETOR WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT AND EXPENSIVE TO LOCATE TODAY.
  This car comes with ALL the original paperwork when delivered new: Owners manual. warranty "Protect-O-Plate" plate and folder. original bill of sale. It is a complete 100% NUMBERS MATCHING CAR.
  This car is also rust-free. it has always been well-protected from weather and never driven in nharsh conditions. It has been kept clean and dry and it's wonderful condition is a testament to that effort.
  A couple of things to consider; The original OEM points-fired distributor. plug wires and coil are safely stored away. as is the original chrome-plated radio-interference shielding. This all will be supplied to the new owner of this car. of course.
  There are a couple small flaws in the paint. but nothing that detracts from the presentation.
  The chrome bumpers are dent-free and perfectly straight. They are NOT in perfect original or show condition. There is some aging and minor scratching. They look great and they are rust-free and shiny . New bumpers would surely look better. but these are great 5-footers.
   The door weatherstrips are complete and functional without water or wind leaks. but. they are original. They show some apparent age.
  The exhaust system is. well. what can I say? It is an OEM-style replacement using standard passenger car mufflers. It is perfectly functional and leak free and in good shape. however it just doesn't have the SOUND that a car like this deserves. Exhaust tone and sound is a very personal item. so I did not install a new modern exhaust system. The new owner of this car may like the subdued OEM sound. or may want something more aggresive. If I were keep it. I would put a nice "growly" performance exhaust on it so you could really hear it while rowing through the gears on the 4-speed. This car deserves it!
  This is a great car and needs nothing to be a great driver and an admired weekend cruise-night car.
This car is in awesome near-100% unmolested condition. Simply reinstall the factory-original distributor (included. of course!) for a 100% original appearing car.
  Shipping is. of course the new owner's responsibility. But this car would be awesome to drive home. wherever you live! It is that reliable. I would not hesitate to take this car across country!
