Up for auction is a 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park Wagon with 24. 90 Actual Miles from new.   This car is documented with the ORIGINAL window sticker. protecto plate. original odometer disclosure statement. owners manuals. and other original paperwork.   Recently thousands have been invested in mechanical work including an entire overhaul to the AC system which works perfectly.   A recent tune up was also performed with new plugs. wires. radiator. belts. hoses. distributor cap and rotor. water pump. idler pulley. thermostat. front bake rotors. calipers. and pads were all replaced within the last 3. 00 miles.    I WILL END LISTING EARLY WITH A DEPOSIT SO I ENCOURAGE MAKING OFFERS AND NOT WAITING. This car was well optioned when ordered new by Elizabeth Clark on Clinton. Iowa with a total cost of $15. 00.   Options include power windows (only one works but I have three brand new lock motors that need to be installed) power locks. A/C. tilt steering wheel. illuminated exterior locks. cruise control. digital clock. rear facing 3rd row seating. power seats. luggage rack. bumper rub strips. rear window defrost. aluminum wheels. side body moldings. rocker moldings. tinted glass. and a few other options listed on the original window sticker.

 

The wagon runs and drives excellent and is what you would expect for a low mileage car: tight steering. smooth ride. strong engine etc.

 

The exterior isn't perfect and looks flawless from 10 feet away.   As you can see the bottoms of the doors have rust.   The tailgate and the passenger front suffered the worst rust on the whole car.   Otherwise the body panels are solid and pretty straight.   The original white paint is a little thin on the roof and hood.   You can see in a few spots it has been buffed through to the primer. but only in a few small areas.   The front bumper has a couple small blemishes in the chrome which I have photographed.   The wood grain is in pretty good shape overall but has some missing decal on some of the body molding.   The doors shut perfectly.   All of the glass appears to be original.   This car was never in an accident and retains the original body panels and finish.

 

The interior is beautiful. the rear seats looks like no one ever used them.   The front seats are also in excellent condition.   No cracks in the dash. no issues with the gauges no functioning. The steering wheel isn't cracked. the tilt wheel is tight. the radio isn't all cut apart everything was maintained to be original and its in excellent condition. The headliner is perfect.  

 

It is difficult to find these in good condition. especially with documented low miles and with original paperwork.   It will be difficult finding another with this combination for sale anywhere.   Please bid with confidence and the intentions of following through with a deposit and full payment within the given requirements.
