WOW. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC LINCOLN CONVERTIBLE WITH SUICIDE DOORS. MY DAD BOUGHT THIS LINCOLN FROM A COUPLE THAT HAD IT GARAGED KEPT IN EL PASO FOR OVER 15 YEARS. IT NEVER SNOWS IN THE EL PASO DESERT CLIMATE AND IT'S AWAY FROM ANY SALTY ENVIRONMENTS. HENCE IT HAS ONLY MINOR SURFACE RUST. OVERALL IT IS IN GREAT CONDITION. THE OWNER WHOM MY DAD BOUGHT THIS LINCOLN FROM SAID IT ORIGINALLY BELONGED TO LLOYD BENSON. A TEXAS SENATOR FROM HOUSTON IN THE 1960'S. HE CLAIMED THIS LINCOLN WAS ON LOAN FROM THE SENATOR AND IN THE PROCESSION OF VEHICLES FROM WHEN KENNEDY WAS SHOT. HE FURTHER STATED THERE WAS A GOLD PLAQUE ON THE GLOVE BOX WITH THE SENATORS NAME ON IT. BUT SAID SOMEBODY STOLE IT. WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TRACE THE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE OWNERSHIP WITH THE VIN. BUT IF THAT PEDIGREE COULD BE VERIFIED THAT WOULD INCREASE THE VALUE OF THIS CAR SIGNIFICANTLY. THIS LINCOLN HAS BEEN FRESHLY PAINTED AND HAS A BRILLIANT BLACK GLOSS EXTERIOR. RECENTLY RE-UPHOLSTERY AND TOP IS NEW. I SPENT ABOUT $8K HAVING THIS CAR BAGGED. THE AIR BAGS ARE BRAND NEW AND DONE BY ONE OF THE MOST RENOWNED CUSTOM SHOPS IN SAN ANTONIO. IF YOU NOTICE IN SOME OF THE PICTURES THE LINCOLN IS DROPPED ALL THE WAY TO THE GROUND AND LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF AN AL COPONE MOVIE WHEN LOWERED. IT WILL ALSO RAISE UP AND LOOK JUST LIKE A NORMAL LINCOLN WITH NO MODIFICATIONS. IN THE PROCESS OF DOING THE AIR BAGS THIS LINCOLN WAS ON A LIFT FOR ABOUT 4-MONTHS.  IN THE PROCESS WE REPLACED GASKETS THAT WERE LEAKING. TIRE RODS. CONTROL ARMS. AND TOO MANY OTHER OLD SUSPENSION PARTS WERE REPLACED WITH NEW ONES. I ALSO PUT A NEW ALTERNATOR. BRAND NEW HIGH AMP BATTERY FOR $775.  I ALSO PAID ABOUT $800 FOR SPECIAL LED HEADLIGHTS FOR 70% BETTER VISIBILITY AT NIGHT. THE ORIGINALS ARE IN THE TRUNK IN CASE YOU PREFER THAT LOOK. I ALSO SPENT ABOUT $1. 00 HAVING VINTAGE A/C PUT IN THAT FEELS JUST LIKE NEW FACTORY A/C. THE CONROL PANEL IS IN THE GLOVE BOX.  IF YOU NOTICE SOME OF THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN BEFORE I PUT ON THE FAT WHITE WALL TIRES. IT DOES NOW HAVE THE VINTAGE LOOK WHITE WALL TIRES THAT RAN ME ABOUT ANOTHER $1. 00. THIS CAR IS BETTER THEN HAVING MONEY IN THE BANK. IT WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE IN VALUE AND YOU MAY DRIVE AND ENJOY IT AT THE SAME TIME! I HAVE SEEN THESE LINCOLN'S SELL AT BARRETT CLASSIC AUTO AUCTION BETWEEN $40. 00- $90. 00 NOT FULLY RESTORED. THIS IS NOT A TRAILER QUEEN. BUT WITH NO PROBLEM COULD BE A NICE WEEKEND CRUISER. THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION IN GOOD CONDITION AND IT DRIVES SOLID AND TRUE! BID WITH CONFIDENCE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET A GREAT CAR AT A GREAT PRICE!
