Cadillac : DeVille Coupe de Ville for sale

I have about 80 pictures on Photobucket. com. Anyone bidding should have a look at those pictures to see all the details of the car that are better told with photos than words. Click on this link (or if the link isn't working. copy and paste the link into your browser): http://s1313. photobucket. com/user/mrcob/library/1959%20Cadillac
interior: The interior is all original and complete. The headliner and package tray need to be replaced. The front seat fabric is starting to split on the driver's side. as you can see in the pictures. The fold-down rear armrest is great. The panels are nice.
dash: The dash looks good and is all there. There is a crack in the black dash top on the passenger side. toward the side of the car. You don't see it from the seat but you can through the windshield.
glass: The glass is all good except the windshield. It has some delimitation happening in a spot on the passenger side and has a wiper scratch on the passenger side.
paint: You will see in the pictures that the car has rust coming through the paint along the rocker panels and bit around the wheel openings. The paint on the hood is cracking. There is a rust spot at the bottom of the rear window pillar on one side. The roof paint is nice.
trunk: The trunk floor has been replaced with steel panels. The trunk has new carpet and the original cardboard wall panels (not in perfect shape. but still very cool). Car comes with the original jack and a spare tire. Various extra old parts and trim are included and are in a box in the trunk.
tires: Tires are good but are not brand new. The hubcaps are great.
motor: The motor is original with the exception of the carb. The original carb comes with the car. I wouldn't say it runs like a restored motor. it runs like an original 1959 motor. It smokes a bit but runs smoothly. When it is cold and hasn't been run recently. it needs a little gas in the carb to get started. Then it starts right up.
other things: The exhaust needs work. Count on at least replacing it from the mufflers back. The power brakes and steering are great. The transmission works just right. The power windows all work. The back windows bind a little bit when going up and usually need just a little pull about half-way up. The rear shocks are new. Despite the age of the car. much of the chrome and stainless is very good. Some of the rubber is good. some of it is dry. I don't know if the mileage is 71 or 171 thousand. My guess is 71 since the seats are in such good shape after 65 years.
Overall. this is a car you could drive while you work on it. With a little engine freshening and some exhaust pipe. you could cruise as is and get to the rest later. It's a great candidate for restoration since very little has been done to it since it was new. no replacement metal. no bad aftermarket parts. no engine modifications. no tacky interior. This is a cool head turning classic and the reserve is a good bit lower than the buy-it now.

UPDATE: This car is a Series 62. not a Coupe de Ville. There is a difference in the standard equipment of the two models. I believe. Here's all the details from the VIN plate:STYLE 59-6237BODY FW10894TRIM 36PAINT 29-12ACC. EHXY
I don't know why the link to the extra photos didn't work but this is what needs to be pasted into your browser's address bar:

Definitely look at all the pictures to see the condition of the car. There are lots of pictures showing rust spots and such that I want every bidder to see. I don't want the buyer to be surprised or disappointed. I'd rather make the car seem worse than it is than better than it is. It is a car TO BE restored. not a restored car. I assume that anyone spending this kind of money understands that an unrestored 60 year old car is not a car you buy and drive on home. It's no basket case. it drives. but it's not yet ready for highway cruising.
