Pontiac : Other Parisienne

1966 Pontiac Parisienne  ** NO RESERVE ** 
Description: I bought this Pontiac to help a friend that was having financial problems. I know very little about it. I drove it home at highway speeds for about 15 miles and it drove well enough. it started steered and stopped without problems. the exhaust is louder than I care for but that seems to be the result of after market mufflers. Once I got the car home I have not driven it except to move it around the yard.
Reason for selling: I currently have several cars and never planed on keeping it as a result it is for sale.
Mechanical: The car drives. starts and steers as it should. The battery is weak other than that I think it would be in average condition for a 1966 car. The engine is aa replacement 350 V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor. The car is not perfect but for a 1966 its not too bad. The tires and rims are old bias-ply that only hold air for a short time and so I will replace them with good used tire before the new owner picks it up.  
Body: The body seems decent with major sign of rust. The front fenders do not have visible rust around the headlights or by the wheel openings and the rear 1/4 panels seem better than average with no visible rust in the wheel openings or behind the rear wheels although it looks like there may have been a small repair at some time on the passengers side behind the wheel. There is rust on the trunk floor. I have not had it on a hoist but there is no obvious rust in the floors. The paint is not great but because it is flat black its easy to touch up and maintain. Although in the picture it looks like the front fender may be damaged near the door. this is not the case. it is a reflection. there are no major dents.
Interior: The interior is in decent condition with less than expected wear. The front seat has been replaced with grey bucket seats.  
Overall: This Pontiac has been customized in a rat rod style and has a unique look. it is un-restored and although not perfect would be fun to drive and show. The previous owner used it as a daily driver and found it reliable. If your looking for a 60's hot rod that is affordable and can be driven while it is being completed than this may be the car for you. I have not had to do any repairs to the car but like all older cars it will need some attention. I'm offering the car unreserved because I'm serious about selling it. This car has a current British Columbia title. I have not inspected this car closely and invite you to do so in person or by agent prior to the end of the auction. This is a true un-reserved auction and will sell to the high bidder.
Location: The car is located just outside of Salmon Arm. British Columbia. about 3 hours from the US border. If you are a buyer from outside of Canada I will help with importation as I am familiar with US and overseas procedure for importation. I can in many cases help arrange a shipper. but this is time consuming so I will only try to get a quote for the winning bidder.  
Payment: Cash in person or bank to bank wire transfer is acceptable. Payment must be received within 7 days of the close of the auction NO EXCEPTIONS. I can store the car at no charge for several months if needed.
