Offered for your inspection and consideration is this 1973 SAAB 96 V4. This SAAB is a rare find that has been in dry storage for the past 19 + years. The last registration was 1995. This is a 3 owner example that was parked in the mid 90's. suffering from a minor engine problem. .

The original body color is Verona Green (GN9). The interior is in perforated green vinyl. This SAAB is very solid with no rust through on the undercarriage with the only rust issue being around the right front turn indicator lamp. The interior is original and the front seats need to be recovered and the headliner replaced. The dash facia. pad and instruments are in very good condition.

The engine problem turned out to be a very worn out balance shaft fiber gear. a common problem on the V4. The engine was recently removed. cleaned. tuned and repainted. The balance shaft gear was replaced. along with the pan gasket. front crank seal. water pump and timing cover gaskets. The oil and filter were changed and the engine bay tidied up. This example is fitted with the upgraded. 2 barrel intake and Weber 34dga carburetor that has also been cleaned and rebuilt. The fuel tank was removed and cleaned along with the fuel lines and new fuel filters installed. The engine now starts and runs well.

The brakes were also addressed. inspected and all 4 flexible hydraulic hoses and rear wheel cylinders replaced.

Additional items addressed were: 4 new tires mounted and balanced and a new Interstate battery.

The mileage on the speedometer reads 16. 94 and is probably not accurate.

The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance. Buyer to forward 10% of the total sales price within 3 days of auction close and the balance. in certified funds. within 10 days of close of auction. The car may remain in its present secure storage facility for an additional 30 days while the buyer makes travel and shipping arrangements.
