This is a Very Nice 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator "clone". The car started as a "H" code 351 cleveland Cougar and was rebuilt as a 428CJ Eliminator in appearance. The car Runs & drives very nice with lots of power! The engine is a 1964 solid lifter 427 Cross-bolt block (C4AE-A) with screw in Freeze Plugs. bored . 030 with Blue Printed Oil System. The engine is cooled by a Griffon Aluminum radiator. mechanical and electric fan if needed. The Transmission is a Built C6 with a NEW 2800 stahl converter. I used a 1970 R code 429 CJ automatic transmission to build this. and she shifts great! The rear end is a 31 spline 9" ford with a 3. 89 posi. To put the power to the ground I used Shelby Sub frame connecters & Shelby Traction bars. this car launches straight & hard!!! The wheels are magnum 500's with Cougar center caps. The interior is a 9. 9 out of 10. it looks perfect with the white seats & black accents. the dash is perfect. nbsp;gauges. consul and all the lights work as they should. this car is equipped with a functional radio also. This car retains all original glass except the windshield. I had that replaced because of the specs and a few chips in the glass.
There's approx. 10. 00 miles on this car since it's build in the 90's. only driven on nice sunny days.

I've had a lot of questions about the VIN # I listed in the description. That is NOT the accurate VIN # for this Cougar. If anyone needs it I will post it or take a picture of the Title and show for verification.
I also have a 1970 M code 351C on the engine stand that I can sell with the car for a negotiated price.
