Many of our photos of this classic Mercedes-Benz roadster were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum and in our showroom.   This Mercedes-Benz is a one-family owned automobile and a pleasure to drive.

The exterior paint has a number of flaws. The finish has a faded quality throughout and could use a professional polished and wax. There are some chips and minor imperfections. The body is straight. The brightwork shows well front to back. The bumpers are in very good condition as are the chromed wheel well arch trim.

The paint has blisters and chips. shows fading.

The auxillary hardtop seals nicely.

The brown soft top is in good condition. very seldom has it been up.

The interior is in good condition. original and showing some age. The upholstery is clean and detailed. The carpeting is in good condition. paired with carpeted mats.

The dash is straight and in good condition. although there are 3 cracks running right through the center top section. The original gauges are intact throughout.

The door panels are in good condition.

The center console wood trim is intact and shows some age cracking. This climate control setup was first offered in the '78 Mercedes-Benz 450SL.

The trunk is solid and original. some surface rusting & scaling. The spare tire/wheel is in place.

The 4. 5 Liter V8 is rated at 180 horsepower. The engine compartment is solid and original throughout. The firewall. inner fenders. and core support sheetmetal is clean and solid. The original decals and option identification plates are intact as are the VIN plates on the driver's door jambs and dash.

The door undersides are in great shape.

The undercarriage is good and solid throughout.

The winning bidder must submit a 20% non refundable deposit within 48 hours of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle unless other arrangements are made with us.
 
PAYMENT METHODS
 
Our preferred method of payment is bank wire transfer. or 3rd party financing. We can work with you if that is a problem. All funds must be in US dollars only. Please be sure to have full payment or approved financing in place before making your final bid. Feel free to call us with any questions.
 
PAYMENT OF BALANCE DUE
 
The buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 5 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before the vehicle leaves our dealership.
 
TAX. TITLE AND LICENSE

We are a licensed Texas dealership.  It is required that we collect all tax. title and license fees from Texas residents at the time of the sale. We will do all of the title work. Non Texas residents are responsible for paying taxes in his/her state. Overseas customers will be charged a $30. 00 fee for wire transfers. We must collect a vehicle inventory tax of . 002277% and a small documentary fee of $75. 00 on ALL sales.
 
SHIPPING
 
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We can refer you to a number of national and international shippers. Once the vehicle leaves our dealership. we will take no further responsibility for the vehicle.
