Hi this is my scamp. I've owned her for just over 2yrs. She is quite unique as she was built by Robert Mandry at scamps Ltd. connaught Garage. rookwood. urrey.

She was built in the garage as a demo for the MKll scamp kit car. so as such is the first MK2 of which I have a fair amount of paperwork. including letters and manuals.

She runs a good 1989 metro 1300cc engine. which has electronic ignition and unleaded head.  

Front brakes are new 8. 4” disc. and fitted a new Cooper S master cylinder.   She also has a year old Maniflow stainless steel exhaust system.

She has a new 7. 5 gallon fuel tank. which has been beautifully boxed in (by my carpenter mate. who also did all the wooden back end) Inside the rear is still mostly bare wood.

Up front are a lovely pair of Jaguar X Type seats that are immaculate. a lovely wooden steering wheel. triumph Dolomite gauge with fuel/temp and warning lights. There is also a rev counter. and cig lighter/power socket.

The wheels are 12" Minilites shod with excellent tyres.

The canvas front cover was cobbled together by my wife and I just before driving to Hungary for the IMM 2013. and kept us warm and dry.

The front radiator is brand new and from a VW Golf 1. 6 as the metro one I had all but fell apart right near the Nurburgring in Germany……. LOL

She has been hand painted in camo for Help For Heroes. This is not practical or for the shy its great fun and always pulls crowds where ever it goes it comes complete with 2 jerry cans.

I turn her into a bit of a bar/pub at shows with a table that fixes to the side and a large umbrella that fixes to the table and side. I then fit optics to it. I have a fridge that fits in the back and plugs in. and has a separate switch. There is a strip of led lights in the back too. as well as a cig lighter/power socket.

I have other bar items that could go with the vehicle if wanted.

Bad points – Speedo doesn't work and though she does have new standard shocks on rear. could do with harder shocks like spax adjustables.

Puff of smoke on start up. but fine there after. so I believe new stem seals are required. though i wasn't bothered due to the fact a little bit of oil down the bores does no harm.

I would happily do this. however I broke my neck. so am unable to do all the little jobs that need doing – Hence my genuine reason for sale.

In summary. a very reliable fun Scamp Mk2. which turns heads wherever she goes. and with the canvas removed on a sunny day is awesome to drive.

Please do not expect concourse as you will be disappointed. however she is an excellent. honest. Morris Scamp MK2. with 12 months MOT and on SORN (can tax at new owners request and payment)
