While the wagon appears to be mostly stock. it has been heavily modified over the years. The original builder replaced much of the suspension and running gear with that from a 1978 Dodge Diplomat. That Dodge was a Kansas State Trooper police vehicle and the running gear is all heavy duty and well suited for this heavy car. It has the front control arms. sway bar. steering. brakes. rear axle. 360 motor and 727 transmission from the Diplomat.
The engine is a 360 which has been bored . 030 and has a very mild RV style camshaft. it is otherwise internally stock.
About five years ago we got rid of the carburetor in favor of an Edelbrock Pro Flo fuel injection system. This system allows for increased power and great gas mileage. the owner has seen approx 20 mpg on the freeway.
This car was used every year for an extended summer trip up and down the west coast. from Southern California to Washington state. In the winters it was mostly stored here in So Cal with occasional trips when the owner was in town. There are approximately 8. 00 miles on the car since the last major overhaul.
