An extremely low mileage example having covered just 51. 09 miles from new. The mileage is documented with a massive service history going back into the 80's. During this time the car belonged to a lady owner. one Miss Lancaster who resided at Cheyne Walk in Chelsea. Bills from H. L. Motorworks in Willesden show the incremental mileages during this period starting at 26. 00 miles.
Underneath this car is one of the cleanest we have ever seen. The chassis cross members are like new as are all the body mounting points & ancillary items. It is well worth putting this car on a ramp to have a look. This coupled with the low mileage make it one of the finest flying spurs we have come across; in addition to being a desirable S3 model.
The car is finished in flawless Masons Black paintwork. I had always assumed that the "Masons" referred to the fraternal masonic order when in fact the more prosaic explanation is that Masons was the name of a paint supplier to Rolls-Royce. To the interior seats upholstered in St James red leather beckon; the lether having been recently redone to put the car in tip top condition. These are complimented by deep burgundy Wilton carpets that are also new. The woodwork is burr Walnut edged with Satinwood cross banding that again has been removed & refinished.
The tyres on the car are close to new as is the boot mounted spare. A full compliment of tools is stored in the boot which is upholstered in Black. The car comes from a select collection of mostly Bentley motor cars that have been maintained absolutely without regard to cost & are a credit to the owner. Indeed upon purchasing the car a decade or so ago he sent it to Phantom Motors with a brief to make the car as perfect as possible resulting in a substantial invoice for no less then £26. 00. 00
Not the cheapest we have seen. but certainly one of the best; You would be hard put to find a finer example. Having spent its entire life in garages & covered so few miles makes it a difficult car to replicate.
