Some of the things done include.

Complete overhaul of rear brakes. calipers and pads. discs skimmed.

All rear suspension bushes replaced with a select mix of rubber and blue (softest) poly.

Front Koni adjustable shocks

Rear Gaz adjustable gas shocks

Extensive (entire floor and trans tunnel). under carpet sound deadening.

Upgraded 70 amp alternator.

Renewed waterpump and fully flushed and where needed resoldered radiator

Refreshed starter motor

Upgraded Dennis Trigg 22mm front sway bar (boy. doesn't that make a difference to the manners of the car)

100 watt driving lamps (inners)

100 watt additional aftermarket driving lights (total of 310 watts of lights)

Mini amp in glovebox so an mp3 player can provide music (no destruction of the original radio. even though it does not operate)

Total refurb of the original A/C. with the axing of the original useless York compressor with a modern Sanden unit. this alone cost me $1500.

A LOT of general fettling. cleaning. rust proofing (15 cans of fish oil. 8 litres of underbody sealing) and making new again of a lot of detail areas.

Most importantly. NO RUST. car completely dry and rot free!!

After spending 18 months on the car. I registered and drove it for the next 12 months. At that point. I once again took it off the road and attended to some small paint and panel (some small dents) concerns. and this sees where the car is now. Unfortunately. that is in a state of “non completion”. and I am looking to move from my current residence. hence my loss your gain.

I have repainted both front and rear guards. and have almost finished the front passenger door. They are not presently back on the car.

Front valance has been painted and rear needs painting. both bumpers are off.

I need the car gone. and this is how you can pick the car up cheap. it basically needs someone to spend about a month on it (if that. a week if you got into it) putting the panels and door back on.

Re-attach front and rear valance. and bumpers.

The car was running brilliantly. but for some reason when I undid the wiring to the rear lights whilst removing the panels. it now no longer starts. getting fuel. but no spark it seems. maybe a fuse (it is Lucas prince of darkness wiring afterall). but that is an area for investigation. cant be much.

This is an EASY and straightforward MINI project for someone who wants one of these but doesnt want to get bogged down in lots of difficult work. all the hard stuff has been done!

What makes this car a real standout is the fully functioning and utterly reliable airconditioning.

I can tell you. that without a single doubt. these Rover P6b's generate a LOT of firewall heat and it is radiated badly into the cabin. Unless you live in tassie or the bottom of Victoria. I would not have one of these cars without A/C. it really is that bad!!

Things the car still needs.

The roof (which I repainted (brilliantly) in Northane marine white) has a very small rust hole (about 5-7mm diameter) which I am in the process of attending to. but make no guarantee that it will be ACTUALY attended to. In any case its not a big job and anyone handy can sort it.

Trans could do with a service. nothing wrong with it per se.

Trans also needs a reverse isolator switch put on it. I did replace it. but it has since failed.

Front windscreen valance could ideally be replaced with the spare one I have painted up.

Rear muffler is in bad shape and needs replacement (quoted $110)

Like any old car. there is always something that can be renewed/improved.

The main thing about this car. is that it can be on the road and driving in very very short order. I have lost my get up and go for it. and I really would love to see it go to a chap who will give it the bit of TLC it needs.

Comes with quite a few spares.

E. g

Rear King springs

Viscous fan coupling

Rear screen valance

Brake master cylinder

Two rubber large front suspension bushes

Various sundry odd bits and bobs

Engine gaskets

Carb gasket rebuild kit

Im sure there are other parts that I just cant recall right now. take the lot.

Spare rear brake discs

2x Front suspension legs and bottom forged links

The pictures are of how the car was just before I took it off the road. and as it is now in the carport
