Up for sale is this 1953 Packard Patrician. The Patrician was Packard's top of the line in the four door sedan. This is a complete car. No missing parts. The previous owner had pulled the head on the straight eight motor and found a broken valve lifter. He did nothing further and ultimately lost interest. I thought I might want to restore but ended up restoring a 55 V-8 top of the line in a two door hard top. Thought this was a more handsome car. I held on to the Patrician thinking my interest might revive at some point. but other projects kept getting ahead of it. It should go to someone else rather than taking up space in garage. The car is rough. but very solid. Some one painted it a beige color of some sort over the original light blue. The stainless steel trim  on the passenger side was damaged in some sort of a light side swipe. but the body was not damaged. Some of the trim replacement was acquired and is in the trunk. The front bumper is bent upward right at the corner on the passenger side and needs to be straightened. It is not kinked. Another rear tail light fixture has been acquired as the original was damaged in some other mishap. and a replacement hood ornament also comes with it as the original Cormorant )bird type ornament was broken some how. I don't have a clue on that one. The pics pretty well show all of this detail. The wheels on the car are correct. The tires are not. They are just "rollers" so that the car can be moved. The power steering and brakes were standard on the Patrician. Power windows and seats were optional and the car is not so equipped. It does have power radio antenna. All window glass is good. No broken or cracked glass.
