1982 Mercedes 300TD-T Turbo Diesel Wagon.

 “Pastel Beige” on Palomino interior

This beautiful. RUST FREE wagon looks great from every angle. The body is very straight. no dents and the “Pastel Beige” (MB color code 684) paint is beautiful.   All of the exterior trim. such as the chrome bumpers. chrome grille. window trim. etc are very nice. Even the window seals. window brushes are all in great condition. The Palomino interior is nothing less than stunning. The seats. headliner. etc are flawless. Even the control switches look almost new. The interior wood trim is brilliant and glossy.  The original Becker radio works great too! The original carpet. while it still looked ok was starting to show some UV damage. I decided I wanted it perfect. so I went ahead and replaced all of the carpeting including the trunk. I did not skimp on this and used the original German wool loop carpet. It was costly. but a decision I do not regret. As you will see in the photos. the carpet is amazing.

This wagon is an absolute joy to drive. it drives and handles beautifully. It is a great freeway cruiser. I recently took it on a road trip to Northern California. doing 80 most of the way (in sweltering temps!!!) . it did great . ran cool and got decent gas mileage.   The engine has plenty of power and the transmission shifts sure. timely and proper. No slipping or hard shifting. All of the gauges and accessories work.   Even the cruise control works. The motor. chassis and engine compartment are exceptionally clean and dry. It does not leak nor does it smoke excessively or run rough at start up. The engine has been really well maintained and it shows.  It was recently serviced and prepared for summer. The AC system was serviced and charged (and blows cold!) The front brake pads and rotors were replaced. We also replaced the rear axles and the front shocks. All the filters including both fuel filters were replaced. The tires still have plenty of tread left. Upon close inspection. the chrome rims do show some pitting.  

This wagon is ready for to go!
