This SLC was first delivered to Dr Winklhofer by a dealer based in Regensburg in 1979 Production number 9704956. In 1986 she was exported to California where she has resided until June this year when we re imported her. The history file depicts routine servicing as well as some key work such as a timing chain (rain and tensioner) replacement and body restoration in 2011 whilst she has resided in the USA. The car is now reading 105. 00 Miles and we have serviced and checked her over. Don't confuse this with a run of the mill SLC. In September 1977 the 450 SLC 5. 0 began production. This was a special version of the big coupé. featuring a new all-aluminum 5. 0 V8. aluminum alloy bonnet and boot-lid. and a black rubber rear spoiler. along with a small front-lip spoiler. The 450SLC 5. 0 was produced in order to homologate the SLC for the 1978 World Rally Championship. These cars are very rare and tipped to be a sure fire investment model.
